Perform preventive maintenance, installation, repair, troubleshooting, and improvement of mill machinery and equipment. Maintain machine centers, conveyors, saws, kilns, de-barkers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and related components. Document maintenance activities, manage parts inventory, support machine operators, improve equipment efficiency, follow safety regulations, and collaborate with maintenance and operations teams while mentoring less experienced personnel.

Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on sawmill machinery (conveyors, saws, kilns, de-barkers). Document maintenance activities, communicate with operations, support continuous improvement, train/mentor apprentices, and follow safety and regulatory procedures to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.

Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automation and electrical systems in a lumber mill using Allen-Bradley PLC5/SLC500/ControlLogix, VFDs, motion controllers, and instrumentation. Perform journeyman electrician duties, design and read schematics, support preventive maintenance, and collaborate with teams and vendors in a high-production, safety-focused environment.
