Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventive maintenance on sawmill machinery (conveyors, saws, kilns, de-barkers). Document maintenance activities, communicate with operations, support continuous improvement, train/mentor apprentices, and follow safety and regulatory procedures to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.

Program, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automation and electrical systems in a lumber mill using Allen-Bradley PLC5/SLC500/ControlLogix, VFDs, motion controllers, and instrumentation. Perform journeyman electrician duties, design and read schematics, support preventive maintenance, and collaborate with teams and vendors in a high-production, safety-focused environment.

Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on sawmill machinery (conveyors, saws, kilns, de-barkers). Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems; perform welding/fabrication; maintain documentation, parts inventory, and safety compliance; collaborate with operators and mentor apprentices to improve equipment efficiency and uptime.
