Stimson Lumber Company in Tillamook is seeking a team-oriented, experienced PLC Programmer with strong problem-solving skills. In this role, you will work within a collaborative team that embraces innovation, challenges the status quo, and is committed to continuous professional growth.

Starting Pay: Base pay for this position will start at $50/hour. People with significant experience may come in at a higher level.
Overtime: This position is eligible for Overtime.
Healthcare: Stimson pays 80% of the premiums for healthcare coverage for full-time employees, including medical, dental and vision.
401(k): Stimson provides a 100% match on the first 6% of your pay when you contribute to your 401(k)-retirement account.
Profit Sharing: Contributions are deposited annually into your 401(k) account for Profit Sharing, up to 3% of your pay.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible and will receive a discretionary bonus in years when the company and location are profitable.
Paid Time-Off: Position offers 9 paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid vacation. Paid sick leave is available up to 3 days per year.
Employee Referral program: Earn a $2500 minimum bonus for a successful referral

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities to include all aspects of journeyman industrial electrical duties including programming and overseeing automation and control systems involving Allen Bradley PLC5, SLC500, and Contrologix processors, instrumentation, and variable frequency drives. Candidate should have a strong understanding of safety in high production environment and be able to troubleshoot and analyze difficult machinery and process issues.
- Journeyman Electrician (licensed)
- PLC Programming skills, including communications, set up, upgrading, modifications of logic structure and hardware
- Troubleshoot Industrial Electrical Systems
- Able to design electrical systems
- Schematics (Ability to comprehend and troubleshoot)
- Proficient with Temposonic Linear positioners and RMC motion controllers
- Understand project fabrication and capable of handling multiple tasks.
- A minimum of five years Electrical maintenance experience in wood products manufacturing.
- Demonstrated thoroughness and attention to detail with a strong sense of urgency.
- Proficient computer skills required. Experience with preventive maintenance software preferred.
- Must possess good communication skills and work well in a team setting.
- Basic mechanical & welding skills
- Positive public relations with outside vendors (Electrical Vendors)
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs., stand up to 10 hours a day, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, stoop and bend at waist, and move equipment as needed
- Must be comfortable in year around outdoor temperatures, in loud conditions, with airborne particles (sawdust), and working around moving mechanical equipment.
- Team player and highly self-motivated individual.
- Perform repetitive work and stand for extended periods of time.
- Possess good communication skills and work well in a team setting.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Prefer proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with preventive maintenance software preferred.
