Provide culturally informed personal, social, and academic counselling to students; support IEPs/SLPs and career development; coordinate with families, teachers, and community agencies; maintain student records; promote Indigenous cultural safety and Halq'emeylem language use; participate in school and community events.

Design and implement census-style surveys, lead data collection and validation, analyze and weight datasets, integrate administrative sources, produce equity-focused labour market insights, engage community stakeholders, and deliver reports and dashboards to inform workforce planning and policy.

Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable: invoice processing, vendor and customer account management, payment application, collections, purchase order administration, reconciliations, month-end support, bookkeeping, and ad hoc finance tasks to support the Controller and finance team.

Provide culturally informed case management and day-to-day leadership for residents in recovery: create individualized wellness plans, deliver one-to-one supports and group programming, coordinate housing/health/financial referrals, manage facility safety and budgets, maintain confidential records, liaise with community resources, and ensure culturally appropriate programming and resident wellbeing.

Lead and oversee the Income Assistance Program with culturally safe, trauma-informed services. Ensure ISC compliance, manage budgets and reporting, support staff development, build internal and external partnerships, design initiatives (e.g., financial literacy, employment pathways), supervise the Food Bank, and analyze data to improve client outcomes and program effectiveness.

Provide administrative and reception support to the Employment Division: maintain filing systems and databases, enter and compile data for reports, manage mail and supplies, prepare newsletters and communications, and help maintain a welcoming office environment.

Lead and manage employment, training, and income assistance programs for the Seabird Island community. Oversee staff, budgets, program delivery, funding applications, partnerships, cultural safety, client services, reporting, and continuous improvement to create employment and education pathways.

Serve as the primary HR lead for entity-specific needs, providing HR operational support, policy and legislation interpretation, employee relations, investigations, training, OHS guidance, and strategic HR advisory. Collaborate with entities and HR teams to ensure consistent HR practices, facilitate healing-informed approaches, support returns-to-work and medical leaves, and deliver reporting and HR process improvements.

Develops and leads culturally centered traditional wellness programs, offers workshops and ceremonial support, provides trauma-informed client engagement and individual wellness plans, mentors staff and students, builds partnerships, documents outcomes, and ensures programs reflect First Nations values and protocols.

Seabird Island seeks qualified Indigenous coaches to provide holistic one-hour coaching (mental, emotional, spiritual, physical) to staff and Council. Coaches must be available Monday–Friday, hold formal coaching certification, have experience working with Indigenous communities, and join a roster for on-call assignments. Responsible for identifying funding opportunities, drafting and managing grant and proposal submissions, ensuring compliance and reporting, supporting implementation and project coordination, producing strategic written materials and communications, liaising with stakeholders, and maintaining proposal tracking and relationships with funders and leadership.
