About the Role:

As the Communications & Administrative Coordinator, you will play a dynamic role supporting both the communications and day-to-day operations of Sqéwqel Development Corporation. Reporting to the Communications & Marketing Manager, you will contribute to marketing campaigns, social media, content creation, events, and community engagement initiatives while also serving as the first point of contact at our corporate office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to support the growth and success of multiple businesses and projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support communications, marketing, social media, and engagement initiatives across SqDC and its businesses.
  • Create and schedule social media content, assist with content writing, and help maintain websites and digital platforms.
  • Design graphics, promotional materials, and basic photo and video content for marketing campaigns.
  • Assist with event planning, coordination, and on-site support.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, digital assets, and communications records.
  • Track social media and digital marketing performance.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and general inquiries.
  • Coordinate mail, emails, office supplies, meeting room bookings, and general office administration.
  • Provide administrative support, including filing, document preparation, and office coordination.
  • Support special projects and other duties as assigned.

You enjoy balancing administrative responsibilities with creative projects and are comfortable adapting to changing priorities. Whether you're developing social media content, coordinating events, welcoming visitors, or learning new digital tools, you bring a positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Experience in communications, marketing, social media, or office administration is an asset, and you're excited to continue growing your skills through ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate, diploma or degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Office Administration or a related field is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable using digital and social media platforms.
  • Comfortable learning website content management systems, email marketing platforms and other digital tools.
  • Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design software is an asset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in communications, marketing, and social media is an asset.
