Product & Tech

At Spectrum, data is the key to great customer experiences. Just ask Keith Neubert, VP of digital platforms agency, agency news and sports. His team’s goal is to understand every aspect of a product’s quality and engagement, which means they spend a good portion of their time architecting and planning each product’s instrumentation. “We’re regularly reviewing the results of an experience, an AB test or a quality score and discussing which way to go next,” Neubert said. “It truly is a collaborative process across our team when it comes to data.”

Bryant Bonds

My team gets excited when we’re able to see that our work has a positive impact on the business.

Bryant Bonds, Senior Director, Digital Platforms Agency, Agency News & Sports

Bryant Bonds’ team’s roadmap consists of many exciting initiatives. But one in particular excites him most: defining a common set of standards for Charter’s backend API services across its many platforms. “We hope to consolidate our services in order to make them easily consumable by our web, mobile and TV-OS applications,” Bonds said. "Once developers are up to speed on the new architecture, it will allow us to develop new services in a shorter timeframe and get new product features out to customers faster." It’ll also make it easier for developers to learn and be productive on varying code bases.

Keith Neubert

I’m incredibly proud of the way the team handled the transition and came together to support our customers during trying times.

Keith Neubert, Vice President, Digital Platforms Agency, Agency News & Sports

Keith Neubert always feels pride for his team, but there’s no greater example than the success of the Spectrum News App. His team started the build a few months before the pandemic started. And despite the world rapidly changing around them, they managed to stay the course. “Our customers and the public were seeking trusted news sources, and the app was a valuable resource for them,” Neubert said. His team was able to launch the app in July 2020, and it’s been a hit ever since, with more than 2 million downloads and counting.

What People Are Saying About Spectrum

  • Innovation & Products: Teams build internet, Wi‑Fi, mobile, video and voice experiences at national scale, with hands-on validation in modern hubs and labs like Denver’s CTEC where ~800 engineers test products in real‑world scenarios. This lab‑to‑field pipeline fosters tangible, customer-facing impact across devices and apps.
  • Learning & Development: Investment in employees includes tuition‑free degree programs, training pathways, and mentoring that enable upskilling across product, engineering, data and network domains. Feedback suggests these structured programs provide clear avenues to expand technical depth while working on large-scale systems.
  • Career Growth: Structured internal mobility and a breadth of product areas (network evolution, apps, devices) across core hubs create multiple routes to advance. Feedback suggests hub-based communities and cross-functional work open paths to pivot across domains over time.
