Designs, models, tests, and optimizes microwave plasma systems for advanced materials and semiconductor manufacturing. Responsibilities include developing plasma and microwave numerical models, commissioning prototype plasma chambers and CVD reactors, analyzing performance data, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting iterative reactor improvements, and preparing IP submissions. The role requires hands-on experimentation, plasma or RF diagnostics, COMSOL-based simulation experience, laboratory safety, and collaboration with engineering and design teams.

Leads mechanical systems design across space and advanced materials programs. Establishes digital twin and modelling processes, manages mechanical interfaces, defines design and analysis tasks, supports systems engineering lifecycle activities, and ensures compliance with standards and customer requirements. Participates in design reviews, coordinates resources and project plans, and mentors mechanical design engineers through coaching, performance evaluations, process improvements, and technical guidance.
