Leads Switch Division production operations, supervising employees and coordinating staffing, schedules, materials, equipment, quality, safety, and customer deadlines. Develops production plans and layouts, improves processes and equipment performance, maintains records, resolves operational issues, and supports continuous improvement. Manages training, performance, labor relations, union grievances, and compliance with company policies, OSHA, EPA, and safety regulations.

Provide administrative and clerical support for the Distribution Automation Division: enter orders into ERP/Business Central, manage BOMs, process engineering change requests, release parts, scan and maintain drawings and records, handle emergency engineering/customer service requests, coordinate with departments and customers, and perform occasional backup duties.

Lead and supervise assembly and testing teams for medium/high-voltage electrical products. Ensure safety, quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, training, and production reporting. Read prints and troubleshoot using wiring diagrams; plan material flow and staffing; drive continuous improvement and compliance.

Lead design and optimization of multilevel high-voltage converters, drive prototyping and hardware integration, perform simulation and testing (MATLAB/Simulink, LTSpice, PLECS), ensure EMI/thermal compliance, mentor junior engineers, manage component obsolescence, and produce technical documentation for renewable energy and grid applications.

Design and prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and bills of material for high-voltage switch products; perform related electrical, mechanical, and structural calculations; process production orders; implement assigned drawing changes; assist with product erection and testing as needed.

Manage vendor relationships, cost control, and new vendor development. Support sourcing manager on cost-reduction, forecasting, open-order analysis/rescheduling, training buyers, and vendor site visits to ensure timely parts delivery.

Create and peer-review 2D/3D drawing packages for high-voltage switchgear using SolidWorks/AutoCAD, perform static analysis and mechanical/structural/electrical calculations, apply GD&T, support customers, participate in design reviews, maintain product knowledge, manage project records, and provide site startup/integration/training (travel <10%).

Lead development of mechanical and electrical drawing packages for medium/high-voltage substation equipment. Ensure compliance with industry standards, coordinate structural and electrical integration, mentor junior designers, support proposals, drive standardization, troubleshoot fabrication/installation issues, and maintain schedules and quality deliverables.

Manage benefits and leave administration including enrollments, COBRA, FMLA/STD/LTD, and 401(k) support. Serve as primary contact for benefits vendors and employees, ensure HRIS data integrity, perform audits and compliance reporting (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA), support open enrollment and wellness programs, and produce leave and benefits analytics to inform Total Rewards decisions.

Provide administrative and operational HR support in a unionized manufacturing facility, managing employee lifecycle activities, onboarding, HRIS and timekeeping, compliance, employee and labor relations support, temporary workforce coordination, reporting, and employee engagement initiatives. Ensure accurate HR processes, confidentiality, and alignment with collective bargaining agreements and employment laws.

Design and develop embedded hardware from prototype to production: create schematics and PCB layouts, build and test embedded systems and board-test firmware, troubleshoot EMI/EMC and environmental issues, and coordinate with manufacturers and team members.

Entry-level product design engineer supporting sustaining activities: create 3D models and 2D drawings, specifications, and BOMs using AutoCAD/SolidWorks; support manufacturing and field installation; perform supervised lab tests; improve product usability and revise documents through Value Improvement processes.

Perform mid-level mechanical/electrical product design using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Create 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, support manufacturing/installation, perform supervised lab tests, and improve product usability and documentation.

Provide clerical and data-entry support for the engineering team including loading BOMs, printing and scanning drawings, processing EEIs, maintaining records/databases, and making frequent internal deliveries to production.

Support marketing operations by maintaining Salesforce data, creating reports and dashboards, managing document control and marketing assets, coordinating vendor/invoice processes, preparing presentations, and improving departmental processes to ensure efficient execution of campaigns and projects.

Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test returned and defective products from production and the field. Maintain NCR/CSR area, assist engineering with root-cause analysis and product testing, support production and sales teams, operate material handling equipment, and recommend quality improvements to prevent recurring issues.
