Two-year Forger Trainee program training Smith & Wesson employees to become certified Forgers under mentor supervision. Trainees must meet prerequisites, pass drug screening and DOT certification, complete periodic evaluations every three months, and demonstrate required skills to progress through scheduled pay increases. Failure to meet standards may result in removal or reassignment.

Maintain and configure SAP ECC (primarily WM) to support manufacturing and distribution. Design and implement scalable data ingestion, ETL/ELT pipelines and transformations into Microsoft Fabric using ADF and notebooks (Python/Pandas/Spark). Build and maintain dimensional data warehouse models, ensure data quality, performance tuning, and prepare data for semantic models. Collaborate with stakeholders, participate in code reviews, documentation, and operational handoffs while establishing standards for deployment and governance.

Design, implement and support automation and robotics solutions to improve CNC machining and manual assembly. Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs and controls; apply SPC and data acquisition for process stability; collaborate with integrators, engineering, IT and operations; create project scopes, documentation, and training; and drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.

Design, build, and maintain enterprise conversational and agentic AI (chatbots/agents) using low-code and pro-code (Python). Implement RAG, integrate with APIs, SQL, SharePoint, and .NET apps, extend RPA workflows, enforce governance (PII, audit), and support CI/CD and deployment across Dev/QA/Prod environments.

Lead advanced manufacturing projects to improve efficiency, quality, cost, and safety using robotics, automation, and process control. Develop project scopes, ROI analyses, capital equipment proposals, evaluate integrators, manage budgets, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to implement projects across multiple facilities.

Lead and manage manufacturing engineering functions to maintain quality, throughput, and cost targets. Oversee staffing, process improvement, production planning, quality and inventory control, scrap reduction, project management, and support product development. Coach employees, manage budgets and performance metrics, and coordinate cross-functional activities to drive continuous improvement.

Install, configure, and maintain SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/BI, GRC, Solution Manager). Perform system administration (client copy/import, refresh), transport management, integrations, performance tuning, upgrades/patches, monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and compliance (SOX, PCI). Support cross-functional teams, participate in on-call rotation, and implement automation to ensure high availability and security.

Participate in a CNC training program to learn CNC machining, setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for firearm components. Designs and implements quality manufacturing processes, leads process qualification and improvement (SPC, FMEA, DoE), supports supplier inspection criteria, conducts root cause/corrective actions, performs audits and first article inspections, and trains/mentors quality technicians to drive defect reduction and robust production.

Manage supplier relationships and maintain purchase orders and delivery schedules in the ERP. Negotiate schedules, resolve invoice and paperwork discrepancies, report delivery status, and coordinate with Planning, Manufacturing, Quality, and Accounting to ensure timely availability of materials.

Manage full-cycle recruiting for entry- to mid-level roles: source, screen, interview, extend offers, and onboard new hires. Act as a brand ambassador, partner with hiring managers to set strategy and timelines, maintain candidate pipelines, support internships and employee engagement, and use HRIS/ATS and Microsoft Office tools.

Operate and maintain plating and treatment processes including anodizing, nickel, chrome plating, passivation and stripping. Mix and replenish chemical solutions, regulate currents and temperatures, load/unload and dismantle parts, monitor quality and safety, train/oversee junior staff, maintain 5S and PPE compliance, and complete required training to meet production and quality standards.

Participate in a CNC training program to learn and perform machinist duties producing firearm components. Operate and set up CNC machines, load and run production lots, measure and verify parts, troubleshoot equipment, perform preventive maintenance, document production and quality logs, and complete required safety and technical training. Advance to intermediate CNC set-up, tech support, and machining work upon program completion.
