The role partners with founders and external accountants, builds scalable financial infrastructure and automations, and ensures reliable numbers for company decision-making. It is an on-site Munich leadership role supporting a fast-growing defense technology company.

Build and lead SE3 Labs’ UK operation, develop UK defence customers and partnerships, convert opportunities into trials and contracts, recruit and manage a local team, and coordinate with German engineering teams to deliver autonomous systems technology to UK customers.

Leads SE3 Labs’ government affairs, public policy, parliamentary relations, strategic communications, press engagement, and thought leadership across Germany and Europe. Builds institutional trust with governments, armed forces, parliaments, and media; shapes policy positions on autonomous systems, AI, defence procurement, security, and regulation; represents the company as a senior voice; and builds and leads the function as the company scales.

Own the company’s legal function, negotiate commercial contracts, coordinate corporate, employment, export, procurement, and international legal matters, and build scalable legal processes. Advise founders and teams on practical legal trade-offs while coordinating specialist external counsel. The role requires strong commercial judgment, fluency in English and German, Munich-based work or relocation, and eligibility to work on defense-related projects and obtain applicable clearance.

Research and write essays, technical explanations, website copy, announcements, and social media posts about SE3’s technology and field work. Interview founders, engineers, and customer-facing colleagues; develop founder voices; manage drafts through approval and publication; prepare talks and interviews; coordinate visual content; and ensure claims are accurate and supported. The role requires strong English writing, editorial judgment, technical curiosity, and willingness to work in Munich or relocate.

Own the electrical design of UAV compute and avionics systems from architecture and component selection through schematic development, prototyping, debugging, validation, and flight testing. Responsibilities include PCB design, EMI/EMC troubleshooting, thermal and environmental analysis, hardware-in-the-loop validation, documentation, and system commissioning. The role collaborates with mechanical, software, and AI teams while leading reliable hardware development for autonomous platforms.

Build and deploy perception systems for autonomous platforms, including object detection, tracking, semantic segmentation, and depth estimation. Prepare datasets, train and evaluate models, optimize real-time onboard deployments, extend replay tooling, analyze mission logs, debug field failures, and write production-quality code. The role involves testing systems on recorded mission data and real-world field trials while collaborating with perception, autonomy, and research teams.

Build and lead the technical direction of SE3 Labs’ perception stack for unmanned systems. Develop object detection, tracking, semantic segmentation, and depth estimation; design evaluation and replay systems; optimize models for onboard compute; and deploy them through field trials. The role is approximately 80% hands-on engineering, with responsibility for architecture, technical roadmaps, code and design reviews, mentoring, and solving challenging real-world autonomy problems without direct people management.

Lead hands-on development of visual localization systems for autonomous UAVs, including VIO, SLAM, sensor fusion, mapping, calibration, relocalization, and real-time deployment. Solve robustness issues across challenging environments and constrained hardware, build evaluation and replay tooling, validate systems through flight testing, and provide technical leadership through architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentorship.

Own end-to-end delivery for European defence R&D projects: plan milestones, manage dependencies, drive decisions, represent SE3 with customers/partners, and establish repeatable governance to ensure on-time, in-scope, and on-budget outcomes.

As a Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, you'll manage sourcing, procurement, material planning, and supplier performance for UAV systems, ensuring timely delivery and compliance.

The Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer will develop low-level software for embedded platforms, ensure system integrity, and collaborate with hardware teams. Responsibilities include driver development, deployment tooling, and system maintenance.

Own and implement real-time perception and localization systems (VIO/SLAM/sensor fusion) for UAVs. Develop calibration, synchronization, mapping, and robust state-estimation pipelines, deploy on embedded/Jetson-class hardware, validate with logs and field tests, and provide technical leadership to productionize perception for GPS-denied and degraded environments.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll design mechanical integrations for UAV systems, manage hardware requirements, prototype and test mechanisms, and collaborate with various teams to ensure quality and performance in autonomous systems.

Lead European government capture and delivery for autonomous systems: manage bid/no-bid decisions, capture, proposal development, commercial strategy, contract negotiation, and partner relationships to win defence programmes.
