Own the growth of Rain’s branded payments and stored-value business from opportunity identification through partner acquisition, deal close, and launch. Lead business development, commercial negotiations, go-to-market strategy, pricing, market positioning, and launch sequencing. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Partnerships, and Go-to-Market teams to translate partner needs into buildable products, establish strategic goals, track performance, and represent Rain with external stakeholders.

Design and own secure, scalable wallet infrastructure for custody, key management, transaction signing, authorization, recovery, and multichain systems. Architect support for MPC, HSMs, secure enclaves, TEEs, smart contract wallets, account abstraction, and emerging cryptographic approaches. Define security boundaries, policy engines, secrets management, authentication, and programmable authorization while making foundational build-versus-buy decisions and guiding systems from first principles through production.

Lead the technical strategy, architecture, quality, reliability, security, and scalability of Rain’s approximately 50-person engineering organization. Oversee critical payment, wallet, ledger, settlement, and partner-integration systems; establish engineering standards, SLOs, incident practices, and developer tooling; review high-impact designs; and develop engineering managers and technical leads. Partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, leadership, board members, banking partners, and customers while planning for significant transaction-volume growth.
