Build and maintain edge software that controls pharmacy automation hardware. Responsibilities include hardware communication over CAN, serial, USB, and Ethernet; fill-sequencing state machines; versioned contracts with microcontrollers and vision systems; and fail-closed behavior. The role requires production C, C++, or Rust on Linux, hardware-bus debugging, real-time orchestration, and embedded-device integration. Preferred experience includes industrial ARM/x86 platforms, field diagnostics, embedded Linux, NVIDIA Jetson, and robotics or medical devices.

Owns verification and release evidence for Queue’s robotic prescription-filling system, including automated validation of software, firmware, and models. Builds test harnesses and reliable pipelines, maintains requirements and hazard traceability, documents release and acceptance evidence, and validates accuracy claims through defined methods and raw data. Collaborates with systems, hardware, vision, and software teams on test environments, real-machine testing, model evaluation, and customer acceptance testing.

Lead the design, development, release, and field behavior of edge software controlling pharmacy automation hardware. Own embedded software, hardware and firmware interfaces, state machines, device protocols, diagnostics, fleet updates, and fail-closed behavior. Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews, architecture, mentoring, and cross-team coordination with firmware, vision, cloud, platform, and reliability teams. The role is onsite in the Bay Area and does not involve people management.

Own end-to-end security engineering for pharmacy robots, including threat modeling, design reviews, device identity, key custody, penetration testing, vulnerability management, incident response, cloud security posture, customer security reviews, and HIPAA-related controls. Build and review code across Rust, TypeScript, and Python while partnering with on-machine, cloud, and operating-system engineering teams. Maintain evidence-backed security practices and track findings through remediation.

Own the frontend for a touch-only pharmacy automation machine, from design prototype through production React application. Build operator workflows, interruption and alert models, typed server-owned state, and interfaces driven by WebSocket data. Establish standards for TypeScript, design tokens, testing, accessibility, and code review. Partner closely with product design and on-machine software engineers, then extend the standard to cloud operations and future product screens.

Lead systems engineering for an autonomous robotic pharmacy, owning architecture, safety strategy, SOTIF, hazard analysis, safety cases, regulatory strategy, requirements, interfaces, and quantitative trade studies. Integrate hardware, software, autonomy, operations, and pharmacy teams while establishing engineering processes, mentoring engineers, influencing product strategy, and scaling the system from pilot sites to nationwide fleet deployment.

Own Newark office operations, including supplies, vendors, facilities, events, and workplace organization. Design power, motor control, sensor, and mixed-signal circuits; qualify components; troubleshoot signal integrity, thermal, and EMC issues; and collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams on system integration, documentation, compliance, and production readiness.

Architect and technically lead a mission-critical autonomous robotic pharmacy system. Define system requirements, interfaces, performance budgets, and architecture while integrating hardware, software, controls, manufacturing, and operations. Build quantitative models and trade studies for throughput, reliability, performance, and cost. Lead verification and validation, integration, bring-up, FMEA, root-cause analysis, manufacturing scale-up, serviceability, safety, uptime, and field reliability.

Build and lead the company’s HR function during rapid growth. Responsibilities include designing HR programs and processes, managing onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, compliance, employee development, HR systems, and records. The role partners closely with founders, executives, managers, and employees on workforce planning, organizational design, culture, and people-related decisions.

Lead mechanical architecture and manufacturing strategy for autonomous robotic pharmacy systems. Design high-precision electromechanical mechanisms, guide products from concept through production, establish DFM and supplier strategies, create build-to-print documentation, and integrate robotics, computer vision, AI, and controls. Own design verification, validation, reliability testing, FMEA, regulatory considerations, and continuous improvement for systems deployed at scale.
