The role requires bilingual English and German communication, UNIX and storage administration expertise, customer relationship management, technical sales support, and participation in weekend on-call rotations.

Designs and develops full-stack web applications using React, TypeScript, Vue, and UI-focused backend services. Builds REST or GraphQL APIs, BFF architectures, cloud infrastructure, databases, authentication, and caching solutions. Leads performance, accessibility, security, testing, CI/CD, observability, and reliability initiatives. Provides technical leadership through code reviews, architecture decisions, mentoring, refactoring, and cross-team collaboration.

Provides technical support and solution design for Quantum enterprise storage products and media workflows. Troubleshoots issues across products, ecosystems, backup hosts, operating systems, storage networks, and backup applications. Works directly with customers and partners, resolves incidents, supports implementations, improves solutions with product engineering, and ensures customer satisfaction. Requires enterprise storage, backup, recovery, UNIX/Linux, Windows, SAN, and virtualization expertise.

Provides pre-sales technical expertise for complex products, applications, and solutions. Supports sales teams and customers through presentations, demonstrations, product capability assessments, and solution design. Evaluates customer needs, prepares technical specifications, develops implementation plans, and may rapidly prototype mini-applications to demonstrate feasibility. Consults with prospective users and validates product capabilities.

Develops and interprets financial concepts for planning and control. Analyzes current and future financial performance, prepares forecasts and financial plans, and evaluates acquisition activity, investment opportunities, rates of return, depreciation, working capital, and governmental requirements. Conducts economic research and summarizes recommendations to support business and financial decision-making.

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software for enhancements and new products. Build software and tooling for design, infrastructure and technology platforms (operating systems, compilers, networks, databases, cloud and Internet tools). Evaluate hardware compatibility and influence hardware design decisions.

Develops and applies financial planning and control concepts. Analyzes current and projected financial performance, prepares financial plans and operating forecasts, and evaluates acquisition activity and future requirements. Conducts economic research on rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, investment performance, and governmental requirements.

Provide technical support for Quantum tape library and storage customers across EMEA via phone, email, and chat. Troubleshoot hardware, electro-mechanical and software issues, document incidents in CRM, escalate defects to engineering, contribute to knowledge base, mentor junior staff, and participate in weekend/on-call rota.

Maintain and redesign HR processes across the employee lifecycle, document workflows, identify gaps and compliance risks, and implement automation using HRIS and Microsoft 365 tools. Partner with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, Legal, and IT to deploy scalable solutions and manage HR programs including onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and offboarding.

Plan and execute functional, regression, integration, and solutions testing for USP and video surveillance releases. Build and maintain test rigs and QA lab hardware, perform security/vulnerability and VMware compatibility testing, write test plans and cases, reproduce and investigate escalations, coordinate QA team tasks, and produce product/support documentation and training while driving issues to resolution with cross-functional teams.

Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs and tools supporting design, infrastructure, and technology platforms. Works on operating systems, compilers, networking equipment, utilities, databases, and cloud/Internet tools. Evaluates hardware compatibility and influences hardware design decisions.

Design and implement automated functional, system, and end-to-end tests for deduplication, ingest/restore performance, data integrity, and protocol behavior. Build and maintain automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD. Develop tests for storage protocols, REST APIs, security features, cloud tiering, and replication. Configure qualification environments (appliance labs, VMware, Hyper-V) and integrate with backup apps. Triage defects and track resolution via Jira in an Agile workflow.

Lead product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle for ActiveScale object storage. Define vision, translate customer needs to requirements, prioritize features, collaborate with Engineering and cross-functional teams, engage customers and partners, and own go-to-market, pricing, and launch activities for large-scale, hybrid-cloud storage solutions.

Design, implement, and optimize Quantum's hyperconverged infrastructure software stack. Work on distributed resource scheduling, software-defined storage, virtual networking, performance tuning (iSCSI, NVMe-oF, DPDK), fault tolerance, live migration, hypervisor and container integrations, and scale-out lifecycle automation to ensure high availability and efficient resource utilization at scale.

Serve as primary customer contact, handle inquiries, prepare quotes, process orders, track shipments, maintain customer relationships, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment and issue resolution.

Lead and manage the Accounts Payable function, overseeing invoice processing, vendor onboarding, reconciliations, weekly payments, 1099 reporting, audit support, cash forecasting, compliance, and process automation to ensure accurate, timely outgoing cash operations.

Manage full inside-sales cycles including pricing, quoting, and coordination. Engage customers and channel partners via discovery calls, product positioning, and follow-ups. Build product knowledge, create accurate quotes in Salesforce/quoting tools, and coordinate with logistics, renewals, and service teams. Collaborate with field sales, marketing, and technical teams to support regional growth.

Systems-first infrastructure engineer responsible for designing, building, and administering on-prem and cloud infrastructure. Manage servers, storage, hypervisors, networking, Active Directory/domain services, certificates, backups, monitoring, and virtualization. Support CI/CD and DevOps tooling, automate with scripting, troubleshoot VM/container workloads, administer SaaS/cloud platforms, and maintain runbooks and operational documentation.

Provide second-line technical support for complex electro-mechanical equipment, computer systems, software, and network/wireless systems. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug issues escalated from first-line support. Report bugs and reliability problems to design/software engineering. May assist with customer installations and training and support end users of sophisticated products.

Participate in pre-sales technical activities: gather customer requirements, design and document complex shared-storage solutions for Media & Entertainment workflows, deliver technical presentations and demos, create reference architectures, collaborate with sales, partners and PMs, and support RFIs/RFPs and Salesforce updates.
