Apply gel coat to molds in CMP and small-parts spray booths using required PPE and respirators; operate and maintain gel coat and catalyst pumps; document parts (ISPCS); detect and correct gel coat defects; support booth upkeep, train new associates, and assist booth operations to meet production schedule.

Operate and maintain gelcoat/high-build spray equipment to coat plugs and master patterns per specifications. Prepare and clean parts, perform daily equipment calibration and maintenance, record material batches, follow safety and environmental procedures, and support quality and schedule objectives.

Lead plant-wide continuous improvement to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through root-cause problem solving, Lean deployment, process control, and capability building across hull fabrication, assembly, upholstery, rigging, and finishing. Drive COPQ dashboards, KPIs, kaizen projects, supplier/field feedback closure, and sustainment through standard work and audits.

Lead supplier quality for a boat manufacturing plant: manage supplier selection and audits, incoming inspection, corrective actions (8D/DMAIC/A3), root cause analysis, supplier development, NPI readiness, and scorecard-driven continuous improvement to reduce defects, COPQ, and warranty issues.

Support plant quality and continuous improvement by analyzing quality data, leading root-cause problem solving (8D, A3, 5-Why), developing control plans and inspection methods, supporting incoming/in-process quality and MRB disposition, and aiding new product introductions (APQP/PFMEA). Drive KPI reporting and reduce scrap, rework, and warranty costs through corrective actions and cross-functional collaboration.
