Proterra Ag is a venture-backed AgTech startup, disrupting agriculture from seed-to-harvest. Our IP spans over 20 patents, ranging from vertical farming hardware to water monitoring to sustainable substrates to seed technology. Our whole farm systems enable ultra-high yield farming from any industrial warehouse worldwide, while our component technologies help growers increase yield, lower costs and improve environmental sustainability.

Our proprietary vertical farming technology delivers the highest yields in the world (per square foot) - every 567 square feet produces more than 10 acres of land. Most importantly, we enable clean, sustainable, local produce to be grown anywhere at a cost less than even traditional growing can, while reusing 100% of our water and without the use of herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers or GMOs.
