Requires EMT certification, relevant regulatory knowledge, computer proficiency, typing ability, a valid state driver’s license, clean driving record, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Prior inspection or audit experience is preferred.

Processes insurance eligibility checks and prior authorizations for EMS transports, coordinates approvals with healthcare facilities and payers, documents authorization activity, and supports denial resolution. Reviews patient care reports for accuracy, medical necessity, billing alignment, and regulatory compliance. Provides feedback to field crews, tracks documentation quality trends and metrics, supports audits, and maintains compliance records.

Oversees EMS education, new employee orientation, continuing education, certification and licensure tracking, and employee training programs. Coordinates EMS Academy instruction, maintains training records, conducts competency assessments, and develops annual training plans. Works with medical and operations leaders on patient care documentation, protocol compliance, and regulatory requirements. Participates in EMS recruitment and mentors staff while managing training budgets, scheduling, and administrative responsibilities.

Leads multi-site EMS operations across a regional territory, overseeing strategy, budgets, P&L, compliance, quality, staffing, marketing, vendors, and customer service. Manages operational leaders and departments while ensuring regulatory, clinical, safety, certification, privacy, and controlled-substance compliance. Partners with the Regional President on strategic planning and financial performance, represents the organization externally, and drives operational excellence, workforce development, and service quality.
