Owns regulator-facing compliance work across cryptoasset, e-money, and payments programs. Responsibilities include drafting policies and regulatory submissions, designing Travel Rule and blockchain-analytics controls, supporting DORA documentation, managing safeguarding and wind-down materials, assessing products and counterparties, coordinating regulator responses, and tracking commitments through closure. The role requires substantial authorization experience, regulatory drafting expertise, and knowledge of transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, and compliance controls.

Draft and maintain regulator-facing policies, risk assessments, control frameworks, licensing applications, and evidence materials for cryptoasset, e-money, and payments authorisations. Coordinate regulator responses, audits, external counsel, and implementation of regulatory commitments. Depending on track, responsibilities include MiCA and Travel Rule frameworks, blockchain analytics controls, safeguarding, reconciliations, wind-down planning, governance, and payment-product assessments.

Lead Paybis’s UK legal and regulatory agenda, including FCA cryptoasset authorisation and UK EMI licensing. Serve as the senior UK legal representative to regulators and the CEO, translate regulatory requirements into operational frameworks, manage external counsel, and support Jersey and Australian expansion. Draft and negotiate English-law fintech agreements, advise on financial promotions, Consumer Duty, safeguarding, payments, consumer terms, employment arrangements, and commercial partnerships.
