Prepare design packages, perform calculations, evaluate solutions, manage external studies, support safety and hazard analyses, lead multi-functional teams, and mentor junior engineers to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective process designs.

Lead and manage a team of process engineers to provide day-to-day refinery unit troubleshooting, technical assurance, and long-term process optimization. Oversee safety, MOC and PHA delivery, resource allocation for turnarounds and projects, mentor staff, and support margin improvement and operational reliability across refinery process units.

Lead and support refinery DCS/PCN/ICS operations and projects: install, maintain, and troubleshoot Honeywell DCS and PCN hardware/software; implement OT cybersecurity (NIST, IEC 62443); perform vulnerability assessments; manage documentation, backups, incident response, and compliance; coordinate vendors; train operations/maintenance; support capital projects and on-call rotations.

Lead multi-disciplinary engineering and construction teams to deliver refinery capital projects from initiation through startup. Manage cost estimates, schedules, contracting, IFC drawings, RFIs, construction oversight, closeout documentation (MOC, PSSR, as-builts), and emergency on-call response.

Lead a scheduling team coordinating movement of renewable diesel feedstocks and LPG/Naphtha/SAF via vessel, pipeline, and rail. Manage nominations, tracking, runout and schedule adjustments, third-party terminals, rail fleet, orders, documentation, and reconciliation. Interface daily with trading, planning, operations, accounting, and external vendors. Supervise team training, compliance with Risk/Accounting, and performance.

Provide technical support for rotating and reciprocating machinery at a refinery. Troubleshoot failures, perform root cause analysis, oversee vibration and oil analysis programs, develop repair scopes and preventive maintenance, mentor craftspeople, support commissioning, and maintain equipment documentation to improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs.

Lead site incident investigations and personal safety programs at a refinery. Ensure regulatory compliance, develop safety programs and training, conduct field audits and coaching, analyze safety data and KPIs, support turnarounds and contractor safety, and collaborate with stakeholders to implement corrective actions and improve safety performance.

Senior in-house counsel providing legal advice on HSE regulatory compliance, complex litigation, labor and procurement matters for a refinery. Represent the refinery in enforcement actions, manage outside counsel and budgets, support audits, develop regulatory advocacy, and deliver compliance training to business teams.

Lead and manage all HR functions for refinery staff, serve as strategic HR partner to leadership, oversee labor relations and collective bargaining, administer benefits and HR policies, support talent acquisition, performance management, training, investigations, and departmental budgeting.

Provide senior in-house legal support for supply and energy trading activities: draft, negotiate and structure commercial and trading agreements (physical and financial), advise on regulatory/compliance and pipeline matters (FERC, state PUCs, CARB, CFTC, EPA), manage outside counsel, liaise with business stakeholders, and represent the company to counterparties and agencies. Onsite role with travel as needed.

Provide administrative support to HSSE departments: maintain regulatory records, track compliance deadlines, coordinate training and events, manage budgets and SAP coding, process purchases, schedule meetings, support emergency operations (EOC), and assist managers with regulatory documentation and reporting.
