Payments Canada

Payments Canada is a public-purpose, non-profit organization that underpins Canada’s financial system by owning and operating national payment-clearing and settlement infrastructure. It develops and administers associated systems, rules, standards and by-laws, and works with member financial institutions, government, the Bank of Canada and stakeholders. Its mandate is to make payments easier, smarter and safer while promoting efficient, safe and sound payment systems for Canadians.
