Manages accounts receivable for a Tribal organization, including customer billing, invoice and payment processing, deposits, collections, cash receipts, reconciliations, aging reports, revenue reporting, and discrepancy resolution. Supports month-end and year-end closing, audits, internal cash-handling controls, and enterprise revenue accounting while maintaining confidentiality of financial and Tribal information.

Manage the Tribe’s 24-month, 42-mile fiber-to-the-home infrastructure project. Coordinate contractors, engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, cultural resources, grant reporting, reimbursements, invoices, schedules, risks, community outreach, and Tribal approvals. Serve as the primary liaison among Tribal leadership, project partners, government agencies, departments, enterprises, and community stakeholders while maintaining audit-ready records and ensuring project requirements, cultural values, sovereignty, and grant obligations are met.

Processes and reviews vendor invoices, purchase orders, payments, reimbursements, and vendor records. Verifies approvals, coding, documentation, and internal controls; resolves payment discrepancies; maintains tax information; supports 1099 reporting, account reconciliations, AP aging, month-end and year-end close, audits, and finance-related inquiries.

Oversee the Tribal Organization’s accounting operations, general ledger, financial close processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, internal controls, budgeting, audits, grants, and restricted funds. The Controller will administer program-related payments, support forecasting and financial analysis, and collaborate with the CFO and organizational leaders. The role also provides direction and training to accounting staff while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial records.
