The Research Engineer will enhance the core research product by shaping model architecture and training strategies, focusing on production-ready research.

Own end-to-end growth: design and prioritize funnel experiments, run A/B tests on the marketing site, optimize signup-to-activation and PLG onboarding, manage paid channels (Google Ads), instrument analytics and tag events, and collaborate with marketing, design, and product to ship and iterate quickly.

Conduct research to design, train, and scale models that can serve a web index; explore convergence of search, recommendation, and transformer models; produce applied research that can be deployed in product and systems used by millions; collaborate in-person across Palo Alto and San Francisco offices.

Own full-cycle recruiting for G&A and marketing roles at an early-stage startup. Partner with hiring managers and founders to define roles, build interview loops and hiring systems, source and close senior candidates, report on pipeline health, and drive compensation benchmarking and playbooks to scale hiring.

Manage a founders operating rhythm: own calendar, travel, and inbox; attend high-stakes meetings; track follow-ups across sales, hiring, and product; draft communications and investor/board materials; build systems (meeting cadences, decision logs, follow-up tracking) to scale executive leverage.

Own full-cycle recruiting for sales and marketing roles: partner with hiring managers, build interview loops and scorecards, source and outbound for senior/hard-to-fill roles, manage candidate pipeline, report on hiring metrics, and close offers independently.

Provide product-focused privacy and data protection counsel across the lifecycle. Own the privacy program (policies, DPAs, data mapping), ensure GDPR/CCPA and state law compliance, advise on data collection/retention/consent and privacy-by-design, negotiate DPAs and data licensing, and build templates, playbooks, and self-service tools to scale privacy work.

Manage technical marketing for Parallel's APIs, create content and collateral, and support product launches targeting developers and businesses.

Own relationships with cloud providers, manage co-sell motions, marketplace listings and transactions, drive enterprise pipeline, and coordinate across teams.

As the first design hire, you'll create and build web interfaces, influencing brand presence and ensuring quality in design and code.

Run day-to-day marketing execution: produce customer written and video testimonials, manage a regular newsletter and weekly launch recaps, coordinate event and hackathon logistics, post launch content to developer communities, and ship marketing collateral frequently while working closely with product marketing and the founding team.

Own end-to-end accounting including month-end close, financial reporting, technical accounting, audits, tax, and statutory compliance. Manage multi-entity and international accounting, external advisors, and billing/quote-to-cash partnerships. Drive systems, ERP decisions, process improvements, and scalable accounting infrastructure while partnering with revenue and finance leadership.

Sell enterprise accounts for a technical web infrastructure product. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, convert demand into revenue, negotiate and close deals, adapt to each customer, and operate in-person across Palo Alto and San Francisco offices.
