Nine-week hybrid summer internship offering college students hands-on experience across Palomar’s insurance departments, including business operations, underwriting, investments, legal, claims, reinsurance, finance, accounting, and crop insurance. Interns collaborate with teams, complete analytical and strategic assignments, attend professional development workshops, receive leadership guidance, and present a final internship project. Participants must work in the office at least three days per week.

Nine-week hybrid technical internship supporting data analytics, business intelligence, product management, software engineering, automation, and technology operations. Interns may develop and maintain reports, dashboards, data models, or product features; assist with automation and process improvement; perform data validation and analysis; document technical processes; collaborate with technical teams; and present project findings. Provides actuarial students with hands-on Property and Casualty insurance experience through projects involving loss reserves, profitability projections, risk exposure, actuarial research, statistical analysis, and reporting tools. Interns receive training, collaborate with team members, work in a hybrid environment, and present their internship projects at the program’s conclusion.

Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines, relational databases, data integrations, and data warehousing solutions. The role develops ELT processes, ensures data quality and governance, troubleshoots pipeline and database issues, and documents workflows.
