Leads mechanical component development from concept through prototype, validation, and production readiness. Responsibilities include 3D CAD design, GD&T drawings, fabrication, assembly, debugging, DFM analysis, DFMEA support, risk mitigation, supplier engagement, and design optimization. The role also conducts R&D on novel battery-pack structures and mechanical systems, evaluates designs analytically and empirically, and supports prototype builds and manufacturing launch.

Leads electrochemistry research and development for lithium-ion battery cells, including materials evaluation, cell architecture studies, degradation analysis, experimental design, and electrochemical testing. Builds data and analysis infrastructure, investigates quality and yield issues, supports equipment commissioning, and translates findings into production-ready cell designs and processes. Collaborates with manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, suppliers, and academic partners to improve cell performance, safety, lifetime, and manufacturing stability.

Integrates, commissions, troubleshoots, and optimizes automated manufacturing equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, robots, vision systems, networks, and safety controls. Supports equipment design reviews, FAT, SAT, installation, production launches, MES and SCADA integration, root cause analysis, continuous improvement, documentation, standards, and technical training. Collaborates with engineering, maintenance, operations, quality, IT/OT, suppliers, and machine integrators to improve safety, quality, throughput, uptime, and reliability.

The role involves leading budgeting, financial reporting, collaborating with departments for financial guidance, and improving financial models and reporting processes.

Lead finance efforts for programs by managing budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics. Collaborate with teams, prepare financial reports, and mentor junior staff.

Design, program, and commission PLC-based control systems and HMI/SCADA for automated manufacturing. Integrate robotics, vision, drives, and MES interfaces; troubleshoot production equipment; lead equipment installations, FAT/SAT, and controls documentation; ensure machine safety and compliance; analyze performance data to drive process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead technical business development for high-voltage battery systems: develop go-to-market and account strategies, engage technical and executive customers, lead capture and proposal efforts, represent the company at events, coordinate cross-functional teams, maintain pipeline and forecasts, and drive strategic partnerships and revenue growth.

Support sales and business development by preparing quotes, maintaining CRM and commercial materials, scheduling meetings, managing forecasts and orders in D365, conducting market research, and assisting with trade shows and legal documentation.
