Own and design Orenda's business systems portfolio including a DER project source-of-truth database, Salesforce and construction management deployments, and ERP implementation. Build and maintain integrations, design scalable data models and processes, prototype AI/LLM efficiencies, and document systems for stakeholder enablement and operations.

The Procurement Manager will oversee long-lead equipment procurement, establish sourcing strategies, run RFQs, manage vendor alignment, and ensure traceability of procurement decisions while collaborating cross-functionally.

Review and enforce electrical design standards and milestone QA/QC for BESS projects; manage RFIs, vendor submittals, and interface risks; produce decision-grade documentation; coordinate across Development, Pre-construction, Procurement, Construction, and EORs to maintain traceable baselines and constructability readiness.

Lead field execution for multiple battery energy storage projects from notice to proceed through commissioning and handover. Manage scope, schedule, cost, safety, contractors, utilities, and AHJs. Produce forecasts, resolve disputes, review contracts and change orders, oversee commissioning and closeout, and onboard and mentor construction team members. Regular travel across NYC boroughs required.

Lead market research to identify and validate new energy storage and DER investment opportunities. Maintain an opportunity database, forecast market fundamentals, deliver Feasibility Reviews against investment standards, and build systematic investigation and forecasting processes to guide strategic market entry decisions.

Lead interconnection design and queue analysis for distributed energy resources. Produce AutoCAD electrical drawings, perform conduit and ampacity calculations, interpret utility studies, develop regression models for hosting capacity and queue trends, manage hundreds of concurrent DER projects, and coordinate with utilities (Con Edison) and stakeholders to optimize interconnection costs and timelines.

Owns the commercial and contractual performance of a battery energy storage portfolio, including P&L, budgets, forecasting, warranties, claims, vendor contracts, insurance, permits, leases, interconnection agreements, and stakeholder relationships. The role enforces SLAs, manages invoices and procurement controls, coordinates project handovers, maintains commercial risk and obligations registers, produces leadership reporting, and builds a commercial, contracts, and compliance team.

Leads Orenda’s 24/7 battery storage fleet command center, overseeing outsourced NOC monitoring, in-house daytime operations, alarm response, incident escalation, grid-operator communications, dispatch, work orders, and operational data integrity. Builds monitoring playbooks, dashboards, performance and warranty processes, revenue audits, and market operating constraints. Manages NOC vendor SLAs, coordinates with site operations and engineering, supports project handovers, and builds the Central Operations team.

Lead Origination Engineering as the senior technical authority for interconnection. Create and maintain design templates and directives, optimize designs for cost and footprint, review and stamp drawings, negotiate technical scope with utilities, qualify technologies, mentor engineers, and implement rapid process updates.

Lead interconnection technical review and site qualification for battery storage projects: validate interconnection rulings, classify viability, negotiate with utilities, perform substation and feeder analysis, produce engineering drawings, mentor designers, and deliver recurring analytical reports.

Serves as the senior technical authority for the company’s battery energy storage fleet. Leads asset handovers, engineering reviews, maintenance programs, safety plans, FMEA, alarm rationalization, root-cause analysis, commissioning acceptance, performance testing, EMS integration, design standards, utility interfaces, and technical risk mitigation. Provides engineering support to operations, construction, development, and commercial teams, while building an engineering function and ensuring BESS assets remain safe, compliant, reliable, and profitable throughout their lifecycle.

Serve as owner’s engineer for Orendas NYC battery storage portfolio: set and maintain engineering standards, author specifications, review partner designs for compliance, provide technical direction and mentorship, coordinate SCADA/EMS integration, support procurement and commissioning, and continuously improve standards based on field feedback.

Own pre-construction execution for assigned battery energy storage and renewable projects: define bid packages and scopes, run bid-period controls (RFIs, addenda), align commercial contracts, synchronize procurement and schedule, maintain cost forecasts and readiness artifacts, compile handoff packages, and build repeatable pre-construction templates and tooling to de-risk construction mobilization.
