Lead performance monitoring and reporting for New Zealand’s land transport regulatory system. Leads NZTA’s national tolling programme, overseeing priorities, dependencies, risks, proposals, scheme amendments and delivery. Coordinates technical and business stakeholders, prepares strategic advice and decision papers for governance groups, Ministers and Cabinet, and builds internal and external relationships. The role also supports continuous improvement of tolling frameworks, systems and processes while integrating work with the Time of Use Charging programme.

Leads continuous improvement across the planning and development phases of major New Zealand transport infrastructure projects. The role drives strategic initiatives, promotes data and digital tools, applies international best practices, and embeds change management to improve project definition, risk management, delivery readiness, and organizational capability. It works closely with senior leaders, project teams, suppliers, and industry partners to enhance consistency and effectiveness across the transport sector.

Perform heavy vehicle inspections, audits, investigations and compliance work to improve vehicle safety. Build stakeholder relationships, apply technical standards and legislation, prepare evidence-based reports, and travel across Auckland and New Zealand as required.

Manage and maintain NZTA’s 10-year State Highway infrastructure pipeline by overseeing cost, schedule, risk, benefits, and project controls information. Support portfolio planning, investment proposals, delivery plans, governance, lifecycle phase gates, and decision-making. Configure projects in financial and portfolio management systems, provide data quality assurance and expert advice, resolve complex controls issues, and contribute to continuous improvement. The role requires collaboration with project teams, regional stakeholders, delivery controls teams, and senior decision-makers.

Provides workplace, facilities, administrative, visitor, fleet, and travel coordination support across NZTA offices. Responsibilities include maintaining office facilities, handling workplace requests, providing first-level digital and technical support, supporting health and safety inductions, managing security procedures, coordinating visitors, assisting with fleet operations, and processing meetings, events, documents, and invoices.

Lead planning, performance oversight, assurance, and continuous improvement for a driving or vehicle regulatory subsystem. Translate strategy into operational priorities, monitor outcomes, provide evidence-based risk advice, establish reporting and quality frameworks, strengthen regulatory practice, lead a specialist team, engage stakeholders, and support formal ministerial and information requests. The role requires experienced regulatory leadership, strategic planning, performance management, change leadership, analytical judgment, and strong communication in a complex public-sector environment.

Provides technical leadership for enterprise geospatial engineering at NZTA, ensuring solutions and platforms are scalable, secure, resilient, and fit for future transport needs. Advises senior leaders, manages geospatial services, leads innovation and governance, mentors technical specialists, and leads the Geospatial Community of Practice. The role also supports web mapping, spatial databases, enterprise data platforms, and ETL processes while translating technical concepts into business outcomes.

Provide technical advice and guidance on safer vehicles, regulatory approvals, compliance queries, and industry requirements. The role supports internal teams, regulated parties, and stakeholders; applies risk-based decision-making; interprets legislation; maintains operational relationships; communicates technical information; and contributes to vehicle technology, rules, and guidance development.
