Build and own the cost accounting function, including standard costing, inventory valuation, WIP, COGS, manufacturing variance analysis, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Program teams to translate production activity into accurate product costs. Establish scalable processes, controls, ERP workflows, and reporting infrastructure while supporting month-end and quarter-end close activities.

Leads international business development and growth across government and commercial space customers. Builds relationships with foreign agencies, sovereign programs, allied operators, and industry partners; develops account and campaign strategies; shapes technical opportunities and partnerships; and guides product and company strategy. The role requires expertise in international space markets, procurement, partnership structures, export controls, and complex program capture.

Build and lead Northwood’s Quality & Reliability organization, implementing the Quality Management System and achieving AS9100 certification. Own quality processes including audits, configuration control, nonconformance management, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Develop reliability strategies covering qualification testing, failure analysis, FMEA, FRACAS, and lifecycle risk management. Establish metrics and data-driven improvement programs while partnering with engineering, manufacturing, integration, test, and production teams to deliver reliable aerospace systems.

Own strategic opportunities from early identification through award across government and commercial customers. Build customer relationships, assess competition, develop win and teaming strategies, lead price-to-win and go/no-go analysis, and manage proposal responses. Coordinate business development, engineering, product, mission, legal, and finance teams while maintaining capture playbooks, competitive intelligence, and reusable proposal infrastructure.

Develop and test software for Linux-based embedded devices, including tooling, system configuration, user-space applications, and OTA updates. Debug hardware/software integration issues, work with I2C, SPI, UART, and USB interfaces, use laboratory equipment, write tests and documentation, and collaborate with FPGA, electrical, firmware, and software engineers. The intern will own a project and present the results.

Assist with mechanical design of antenna components, structures, mechanisms, environmental systems, tooling, test fixtures, weldments, and ground support equipment. Collaborate with RF, electrical, manufacturing, and software engineers on system integration, design reviews, manufacturability, reliability, and compliance. Support hardware development, fabrication, assembly, and mechanical or thermal analysis for globally deployed satellite ground station systems.

Supports the design, implementation, and optimization of secure, scalable data movement across Northwood’s hybrid cloud and on-premises ground station network. Responsibilities include developing data transfer interfaces and pipelines, testing reliable and fault-tolerant systems, working with networking devices and protocols, and collaborating with software, network, and FPGA engineers to improve performance and scalability.

Support high-speed PCB development for digital communication systems, including schematic design, layout, FPGA and microcontroller integration, prototyping, board bring-up, validation, and performance testing. Collaborate with RF, antenna, and DSP/FPGA engineers, suppliers, and hardware teams to optimize reliability, scalability, component cost, and system performance. Work may involve lab testing, PCB rework, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations.

Design, build, test, and deploy electrical and mechanical hardware for global ground station sites. The intern will own projects from inception through field deployment, construct GSE and wire harness test setups, troubleshoot site operations issues, and collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and external engineering teams.

Build ETL pipelines, predictive models, dashboards, data validation processes, and scenario analyses for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, supplier risk, and logistics. Analyze supply chain metrics and present actionable insights to cross-functional leaders while helping establish scalable analytics practices.

Support procurement, sourcing, order tracking, inventory optimization, supplier performance analysis, logistics monitoring, and supply chain process improvements for satellite ground station manufacturing. Build dashboards, reports, and automated tracking systems while collaborating with engineering and operations teams to ensure materials meet technical and quality requirements.

Supports RF hardware design, prototype fabrication, antenna and active RF circuit characterization, integrated RF testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Collaborates with electrical, RF, mechanical, manufacturing, and software engineers from concept through production. Provides technical support to regulatory and site operations teams while gaining hands-on experience with RF test equipment, antenna systems, PCB design, and electromagnetic simulation tools.

Lead accounting and finance operations, including close, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition, cost accounting, forecasting, reporting, controls, audits, tax filings, and investor reporting. Build financial infrastructure, implement systems, guide capital and business planning, support cash flow management, and develop the finance team. The role combines executive-level financial leadership with hands-on transactional accounting responsibilities in a growing technology company.

Architect and implement FPGA-based networking and DSP systems for phased-array satellite ground stations. Lead designs from concept through production and deployment, define system requirements and architecture, debug hardware-software integration issues using field data, and improve system reliability and throughput. Collaborate cross-functionally on high-rate data processing, FPGA SoCs, embedded software, and high-performance PCBA designs.

Lead global ground-station deployments, including site selection, acquisition, construction, hardware and infrastructure installation, and operational readiness. Design site architectures and deployment processes, oversee live station performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate contractors, logistics providers, network partners, and internal teams. The role is based in Los Angeles and requires frequent domestic and international travel, hands-on fieldwork, and execution of complex projects on tight timelines.

Deploy and operate global satellite ground stations, including antennas, power systems, racks, and site infrastructure. Design, develop, and test electrical and mechanical ground support equipment; engineer site architecture and deployment processes; monitor live station performance; troubleshoot operational issues; and coordinate contractors, network providers, and international partners. The role is based in Los Angeles and requires frequent domestic and international travel.

Develop and operate ground software for satellite communications data paths. Responsibilities include implementing CCSDS protocols, ingesting and routing telemetry and command data, building high-performance real-time pipelines, creating packet analysis and replay tooling, integrating with SDRs, modems, and FPGA systems, and testing with simulated, hardware-in-the-loop, and live satellite data. The role translates mission requirements into production workflows and supports systems through deployment and operations.

Lead multidisciplinary antenna hardware development from architecture through production and field deployment. Translate mission needs into system requirements, architectures, interfaces, schedules, and verification plans. Coordinate mechanical, electrical, RF, embedded, thermal, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and field operations teams. Drive trade studies, prototype builds, integration, test campaigns, root-cause investigations, risk mitigation, and production-readiness reviews while contributing hands-on engineering expertise.
