Support high-speed PCB development for digital communication systems, including schematic design, layout, FPGA and microcontroller integration, prototyping, board bring-up, validation, and performance testing. Design, build, test, and deploy electrical and mechanical hardware for global ground station sites. The intern will own projects from inception through field deployment, construct GSE and wire harness test setups, troubleshoot site operations issues, and collaborate with electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, and external engineering teams.

Build ETL pipelines, predictive models, dashboards, data validation processes, and scenario analyses for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, supplier risk, and logistics. Analyze supply chain metrics and present actionable insights to cross-functional leaders while helping establish scalable analytics practices.

Support procurement, sourcing, order tracking, inventory optimization, supplier performance analysis, logistics monitoring, and supply chain process improvements for satellite ground station manufacturing. Build dashboards, reports, and automated tracking systems while collaborating with engineering and operations teams to ensure materials meet technical and quality requirements.

Supports RF hardware design, prototype fabrication, antenna and active RF circuit characterization, integrated RF testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Collaborates with electrical, RF, mechanical, manufacturing, and software engineers from concept through production. Provides technical support to regulatory and site operations teams while gaining hands-on experience with RF test equipment, antenna systems, PCB design, and electromagnetic simulation tools.

Lead and shape Northwood’s visual identity and creative output. Art direct investor, customer, recruiting, and web materials; translate complex technical systems into clear visuals; direct photo, video, and agency production; build scalable visual systems; partner with communications and leadership; maintain high creative standards across all touchpoints.

Own integrated delivery visibility and risk across Digital products (modems, beamforming, telemetry, scheduling, ground-station software). Maintain execution plans, dependency maps, schedules, and tooling. Surface and resolve cross-team integration risks, coordinate testing across environments, partner with mission management/customers, and drive improvements to velocity, reliability, and deployment readiness.

Lead accounting and finance operations, including close, AP/AR, payroll, revenue recognition, cost accounting, forecasting, reporting, controls, audits, tax filings, and investor reporting. Build financial infrastructure, implement systems, guide capital and business planning, support cash flow management, and develop the finance team. The role combines executive-level financial leadership with hands-on transactional accounting responsibilities in a growing technology company.

Architect and implement FPGA-based networking and DSP systems for phased-array satellite ground stations. Lead designs from concept through production and deployment, define system requirements and architecture, debug hardware-software integration issues using field data, and improve system reliability and throughput. Collaborate cross-functionally on high-rate data processing, FPGA SoCs, embedded software, and high-performance PCBA designs.

Lead global ground-station deployments, including site selection, acquisition, construction, hardware and infrastructure installation, and operational readiness. Design site architectures and deployment processes, oversee live station performance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate contractors, logistics providers, network partners, and internal teams. The role is based in Los Angeles and requires frequent domestic and international travel, hands-on fieldwork, and execution of complex projects on tight timelines.

Deploy and operate global satellite ground stations, including antennas, power systems, racks, and site infrastructure. Design, develop, and test electrical and mechanical ground support equipment; engineer site architecture and deployment processes; monitor live station performance; troubleshoot operational issues; and coordinate contractors, network providers, and international partners. The role is based in Los Angeles and requires frequent domestic and international travel.

Develop and operate ground software for satellite communications data paths. Responsibilities include implementing CCSDS protocols, ingesting and routing telemetry and command data, building high-performance real-time pipelines, creating packet analysis and replay tooling, integrating with SDRs, modems, and FPGA systems, and testing with simulated, hardware-in-the-loop, and live satellite data. The role translates mission requirements into production workflows and supports systems through deployment and operations.

Lead multidisciplinary antenna hardware development from architecture through production and field deployment. Translate mission needs into system requirements, architectures, interfaces, schedules, and verification plans. Coordinate mechanical, electrical, RF, embedded, thermal, manufacturing, test, supply chain, and field operations teams. Drive trade studies, prototype builds, integration, test campaigns, root-cause investigations, risk mitigation, and production-readiness reviews while contributing hands-on engineering expertise.

Design and validate high-speed mixed-signal digital communication systems and multilayer PCBs. Perform schematic capture, oversee PCB layout, prototype bring-up, lab and field testing, collaborate across RF/antenna/FPGA/firmware teams, and transition designs to production.

Lead electrical architecture and system-level design for high-speed digital communication systems. Define multi-gigabit networking and power architectures, review schematics and PCB layouts, collaborate with RF/FPGA/firmware teams, guide prototype bring-up and field testing, ensure manufacturability, and drive system-level tradeoffs and root-cause analysis from concept through production.

Define RF/system-level product architectures for a global phased-array ground-station network. Translate network inputs into antenna, link-performance, throughput, and availability specs; iterate designs using simulations and link budgets; partner with Business Development and Engineering to shape proposals, roadmaps, and execution-ready system definitions.

Serve as the primary employee support resource across the lifecycle, handling questions, onboarding and offboarding documentation, HRIS data accuracy, background checks, compliance processes, audits, and escalations. Analyze employee experience trends and identify improvements to processes, policies, and communications while partnering with the broader People team.

Design, build, commission, and improve production tooling and automated equipment from concept through field deployment. Collaborate cross-functionally to prototype, mature, troubleshoot, document, validate, and maintain tooling, integrate controls and safety systems, and drive manufacturing process improvements for scalable, repeatable production.

Lead SOC operations and incident response for globally distributed satellite ground stations and cloud infrastructure. Build and tune SIEM detection rules, perform digital forensics and malware analysis, hunt advanced threats across space infrastructure, create incident response playbooks, integrate threat intelligence, and develop security automation for monitoring and response.

Act as primary technical contact for satellite customers to drive mission success on Northwood's ground station network: lead discovery, onboardings, integrations, troubleshooting, demos, and readiness reviews; ship and debug code; translate customer needs into priorities for Engineering, Product, and BD; and coordinate deployments and scalable customer-facing materials.
