Develop, test, and operate ground-station software that ingests modem data, implements CCSDS protocols, processes telemetry/command frames, and routes mission data. Build high-performance pipelines, debugging and tooling, collaborate with DSP/FPGA teams, run hardware-in-the-loop and live testing, and own deployment and operational support.

Lead development of Northwood antenna systems from concept through production and deployment. Define system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and verification plans. Manage schedules, risks, prototypes, integration, testing, and production-readiness while contributing hands-on within a primary engineering discipline and communicating progress to leadership.

Lead development and scaling of in-house SMT and PCB assembly: define processes, standards, equipment, layout, quality/inspection/rework, integrate with MES/MRP, and build the PCB assembly team and production readiness.

Develop and optimize manufacturing processes and tooling for precision RF antenna systems. Translate designs to production, drive DFM, lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement, create work instructions, support RF/thermal testing, and evaluate equipment and make-vs-buy decisions to scale manufacturing.

Lead and scale accounting operations including month-end close, cost accounting, ERP configuration, financial controls, audits, AP/AR, cash management, and process automation. Partner with finance, production, supply chain, and legal to ensure ASC 606 compliance, accurate reporting, and operational improvements to support forecasting, fundraising, and unit cost reduction.

Lead establishment and scaling of an in-house machine shop: select and commission CNC equipment, design shop layout and fixtures, create and maintain CAM programs and documentation, run and validate machining processes, train operators, and drive quality, cost, and lead-time improvements.

Design, implement, and test high-rate networking and DSP blocks on FPGAs for antenna systems. Lead cross-disciplinary projects from prototype to deployment, define system architectures and requirements, analyze field test data to diagnose issues, and drive product improvements for resilient communications.

Design and iterate RF electronics (LNAs, filters, PAs), create electromagnetic simulation models, build and characterize RF circuits and supporting power/digital control, and collaborate across electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and software teams to troubleshoot integrated RF system performance from concept to production.

Act as the CTO's strategic partner and operational lead to translate technical strategy into execution. Drive cross-functional engineering initiatives, maintain execution visibility, design operating rhythms, align product/BD/engineering priorities, synthesize risks and progress for leadership, and support roadmap and resource allocation decisions.

Develop and maintain software that ingests, processes, and routes satellite telemetry, tracking, and command data. Implement CCSDS protocols, build high-performance data pipelines connecting SDRs/modems/FPGA and customer endpoints, create tooling for parsing, buffering, recording, replay, and monitoring, and test workflows with simulated and live data. Collaborate across DSP, FPGA, infrastructure, and customer-facing teams and own components through deployment and operational support.

Lead cross-functional initiatives to evaluate, plan, negotiate, and execute Northwood's international infrastructure deployments. Manage commercial, regulatory, financial, and operational activities; coordinate stakeholders; build repeatable market-entry processes, forecasting tools, and vendor agreements to enable scalable global operations.

Lead electrical architecture for high-speed digital communication systems, defining multi-layer PCBs, power trees, and multi-gigabit networking. Drive system-level trades, review schematics/layouts, collaborate with RF/FPGA/firmware teams, guide prototype testing and field validation, and ensure designs are testable and manufacturable for production.

Design, build, commission, and improve production and field tooling from prototype to production. Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, test, and operations to deliver automated and manual equipment, create CAD/drawings/BOMs, troubleshoot shop and field issues, develop PLC/HMI controls, and establish tooling standards and documentation to improve safety, speed, and repeatability.

Lead electrical architecture and system-level design for high-speed digital communication systems. Define multi-gigabit networking and power architectures, review schematics and PCB layouts, collaborate with RF/FPGA/firmware teams, guide prototype bring-up and field testing, ensure manufacturability, and drive system-level tradeoffs and root-cause analysis from concept through production.

Define RF/system-level product architectures for a global phased-array ground-station network. Translate network inputs into antenna, link-performance, throughput, and availability specs; iterate designs using simulations and link budgets; partner with Business Development and Engineering to shape proposals, roadmaps, and execution-ready system definitions.

Design and validate high-speed mixed-signal digital communication systems and multilayer PCBs. Perform schematic capture, oversee PCB layout, prototype bring-up, lab and field testing, collaborate across RF/antenna/FPGA/firmware teams, and transition designs to production.

Lead SOC operations and incident response for globally distributed satellite ground stations and cloud infrastructure. Build and tune SIEM detection rules, perform digital forensics and malware analysis, hunt advanced threats across space infrastructure, create incident response playbooks, integrate threat intelligence, and develop security automation for monitoring and response.

Design, build, commission, and improve production tooling and automated equipment from concept through field deployment. Collaborate cross-functionally to prototype, mature, troubleshoot, document, validate, and maintain tooling, integrate controls and safety systems, and drive manufacturing process improvements for scalable, repeatable production.

Lead end-to-end material planning and inventory management for production and NPI, executing MRP activities, forecasting demand, mitigating shortages, optimizing inventory parameters, maintaining ERP planning data, developing reports, and driving cross-functional alignment to minimize production disruptions.

Act as primary technical contact for satellite customers to drive mission success on Northwood's ground station network: lead discovery, onboardings, integrations, troubleshooting, demos, and readiness reviews; ship and debug code; translate customer needs into priorities for Engineering, Product, and BD; and coordinate deployments and scalable customer-facing materials.
