Designs and develops automotive restraint components, including seatbelts, airbags, crash sensors, and steering wheels, to meet crashworthiness requirements and regulations. Coordinates with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, styling, and suppliers throughout vehicle development. Manages supplier quality, cost, and timing, supports digital and physical evaluations, completes tasks independently, and leads cross-functional activities.

Develops and edits automotive technical bulletins, translating engineering and repair information into clear instructions for service technicians. Coordinates with engineers, technicians, and stakeholders through drafting, review, revision, and approval. Maintains databases, performs administrative duties, writes TechTalk articles, and uses Microsoft, Adobe, and Nissan publishing software to produce documentation.

Designs and engineers automotive interior components using plastics and metal materials, primarily in NX CAD. Coordinates with design teams, suppliers, tooling, body, wiring, and vehicle development groups to resolve issues involving cost, weight, performance, packaging, timing, and appearance. Supports pilot and assembly plant builds, manages components across vehicle programs, and tracks cost-reduction proposals. The role requires hands-on automotive engineering experience, occasional domestic and international travel, and overtime as needed.
