Produce evening television newscasts, write and edit news for broadcast and digital platforms, make editorial decisions during breaking news, and support streaming productions. Responsibilities include OBS recording and live-production setup, original programming development, graphics coordination, encoding and uploading content, platform compatibility, and collaboration with newsroom talent, management, and production staff.

Produces segments for The Hill by researching and pitching political news stories, gathering video, audio, and user-generated content, writing scripts, editing graphics and banners, and organizing broadcast elements. Collaborates with talent, newsroom, production, digital, and engineering teams while meeting tight deadlines and assigned shifts, including overnights, mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Creates and publishes 3–5 local news stories daily, edits broadcast and reporter content for digital publication, curates wire content, manages homepage layouts, promotes stories on social media, and uses analytics to improve audience engagement. The role requires strong news judgment, headline writing, AP Style knowledge, SEO and WordPress proficiency, and the ability to work under pressure during breaking news and severe weather coverage.
