Provides cybersecurity engineering throughout the software development lifecycle for a DISA customer. Integrates security controls into Agile development and CI/CD pipelines, implements automated security testing, applies shift-left DevSecOps practices, and translates RMF, NIST, DoD STIG, and SRG requirements into technical controls. Advises developers, architects, ISSOs, and system owners on application, cloud, API, microservices, container, authentication, encryption, and network security while managing multiple concurrent development efforts.

The role includes tuning Corelight and Elastic Defend, developing Zeek, YARA, and SIEM rules, validating data pipelines, containing classified spills, supporting SCIF operations, and collaborating with NOC, DISA, and NIWC teams. It requires active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and on-call support for critical events.

Leads process improvement initiatives for a public-sector client by analyzing operations, designing workflows, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, applying Lean and Six Sigma methods, documenting procedures, monitoring KPIs, supporting change management, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations and data governance standards.

Analyze network telemetry, sensor feeds, and logs to identify adversary activity across classified DoD environments. Develop threat-hunting playbooks, tune Elastic SIEM detections, map TTPs to MITRE ATT&CK, document containment procedures, and support TS/SCI incident response and reporting. The role requires onsite SCIF work, operational shift coverage, briefings, and emergency escalation support.

Supports Salesforce implementations and enhancements by gathering requirements, documenting business processes, creating user stories and acceptance criteria, assisting with configuration, and supporting testing and defect resolution. The role coordinates stakeholders and delivery teams, participates in Agile ceremonies, maintains traceability and documentation, prepares reports, and contributes to process improvement within a federal USDA mission environment.

Manage IT projects throughout initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure. Support PMO formation by implementing governance, standardizing project practices, designing tools, tracking KPIs, and improving reporting. Coordinate technical and non-technical stakeholders, manage risks, budgets, timelines, and deliverables, and provide leadership with project and PMO performance updates. Projects may include systems implementations, software development, infrastructure, telecom, AI, product development, compliance, and information security.

Support a 24/7 DoD Cyber Network Defense operation by monitoring alerts, analyzing packet and log data, triaging incidents, integrating threat intelligence into sensors/SIEMs, and coordinating incident response and reporting.
