Attaches vinyl upholstery coverings to boat components using hand tools, staples, bolts, and related equipment. Inspects, trims, aligns, repairs, and finishes upholstery parts to quality standards while maintaining a clean, safe work area. Requires reading work orders, identifying boat model parts, supporting material handling, following production instructions, and working safely in a physically demanding, non-climate-controlled environment.

Designs and validates composite structural and cosmetic fiberglass components from concept through manufacturing. Creates CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and laminate patterns; performs structural and environmental testing, ensures ISO/CE compliance, coordinates suppliers, supports production integration, and serves as corporate technical representative in product liability matters.

Perform gel coat inspection, patching, sanding, polishing, and repairs on small composite boat parts. Apply sound-dampening and bilge coatings, use grinders/sanders/buffers, maintain clean workspace, follow safety/OSHA rules, cross-train, and work with a team to meet production deadlines.

Support engineering and operations by developing and maintaining 3D CAD assemblies, reverse-engineering parts, validating dimensional accuracy, gathering vendor data, and building the 3D CAD parts library.

Designs and implements intuitive, high-performance user interfaces for embedded boat displays. Prototypes and tests UI/UX concepts (Crank, Qt, embedded Linux), integrates software with mechanical/electrical systems, implements production-ready embedded code, and collaborates cross-functionally to deliver HMI features controlling surf systems, audio, lighting, ballast, and navigation.

Create sketches, drawings, renderings, and 2D/3D models to communicate product ideas. Develop technical documents, select materials/finishes, manage material libraries, and create 2D artwork and graphics.

Lead and manage a manufacturing engineering team across two facilities to design, implement, and optimize production processes. Drive lean/DFMA initiatives, capacity modeling, continuous improvement, and production support to improve quality, throughput, and cost. Coordinate cross-functional integration of new products, mentor staff, support hiring and performance management, and maintain safety and operational standards.
