Prepare and finish small composite parts: prep and gel-coat molds, lay and cut fiberglass, eliminate bubbles, infuse parts, sand/buff, drill and inspect parts for quality, follow safety/OSHA procedures, use hand tools, and collaborate with the production team.

Designs, analyzes, and improves manufacturing processes and workflows to increase safety, quality, and efficiency. Leads lean initiatives, creates jigs/fixtures and BOMs, supports production teams, implements ergonomic and material-handling solutions, and drives continuous improvement across plant operations.

Prepare and mask molds, spray gelcoat to production specifications and color, control film thickness, apply identification numbers, maintain supplies and spray equipment, inspect parts for quality, follow safety/PPE protocols (including respirator use), work on a team to meet production goals, and perform related manual tasks in a factory environment.

Develop and release production-ready CAD models, drawings, and CNC-ready nested cut files. Validate toolpaths, manufacturability, and first-article prototypes. Create SOPs, work instructions, BOM input, and tooling standards. Support production floor troubleshooting (50%+ time), drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure scalable, repeatable manufacturing processes.

Create sketches, drawings, renderings, and 2D/3D models to communicate product ideas. Develop technical documents, select materials/finishes, manage material libraries, and create 2D artwork and graphics.

Produce, validate, and maintain production-ready CNC files and manufacturing documentation. Lead first-article validation, prototyping, and production ramp-ups; optimize toolpaths, nesting, and manufacturability; create CAD models/drawings; support production floor troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead and manage a manufacturing engineering team across two facilities to design, implement, and optimize production processes. Drive lean/DFMA initiatives, capacity modeling, continuous improvement, and production support to improve quality, throughput, and cost. Coordinate cross-functional integration of new products, mentor staff, support hiring and performance management, and maintain safety and operational standards.

Operate and maintain high-speed walking-foot sewing machines to seam pre-cut patterns into finished parts. Trim seams, inspect parts for quality, follow supervisor instructions, keep work area clean, use PPE and hand tools, sit for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and comply with OSHA and safety procedures.
