Grinds edges from de-molded fiberglass boat parts, cuts and drills holes in hulls and decks, inspects parts for quality, maintains a clean work area, follows safety procedures, and uses hand tools and protective equipment. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing and bending for extended periods, climbing into boats, and working in non-climate-controlled environments.

Lead and manage a manufacturing engineering team across two facilities to design, implement, and optimize production processes. Drive lean/DFMA initiatives, capacity modeling, continuous improvement, and production support to improve quality, throughput, and cost. Coordinate cross-functional integration of new products, mentor staff, support hiring and performance management, and maintain safety and operational standards.

Supports mechanical product design and manufacturing by specifying components, developing jigs and fixtures, creating CAD models, drawings, bills of material, work instructions, and engineering change notices. Evaluates vendor components, ensures compliance with industry standards, supports product certification and testing, and collaborates across the organization under senior engineering supervision.
