The role also trains and mentors WPC coordinators, builds stakeholder partnerships, resolves cross-functional issues, and contributes to continuous improvement, program strategy, training materials, and operational standards.

Manage and oversee the laboratory’s Controlled Unclassified Information program while supporting classified information protection and OPSEC initiatives. Responsibilities include maintaining policy expertise, conducting audits and risk reviews, developing training, reviewing document markings, investigating security incidents, coordinating misuse determinations, and advising stakeholders on information protection requirements. The role requires collaboration with Legal, IT, program managers, DOE, and laboratory leadership, along with maintaining procedures and promoting compliance with federal security policies.

Supports geospatial energy modeling and analysis through data preparation, processing, validation, cartography, literature reviews, and scientific programming. Uses Python and geospatial libraries to analyze and visualize data, develops analytical solutions for energy deployment and siting, and works with open-source geospatial tools, distributed computing environments, HPC systems, and cloud platforms.

Support development of software and data infrastructure for autonomous thin-film semiconductor experimentation. Develop Python-based instrument control and lab automation, implement APIs and messaging for distributed instruments, enable real-time data exchange and provenance, assist integration/testing/deployment, and build monitoring, logging, and visualization tools while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Administers and develops Oracle EPM Cloud and Hyperion financial planning systems. Responsibilities include managing security and user access, maintaining nightly and close processes, troubleshooting integrations, developing enhancements with Groovy and EPM Automate, coordinating patching and regression testing, writing technical specifications and test plans, supporting data governance, analyzing issues, and creating stakeholder training materials. The role collaborates with IT and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable financial systems.

Conduct and lead adversarial cybersecurity research for energy systems: design and run threat emulation and cyber-range experiments, develop simulation and modeling tools, analyze IT/OT vulnerabilities, integrate results into resilience and risk models, publish findings, mentor junior staff, and support adversarial research infrastructure.

Graduate intern will research uncertainty quantification and hallucination detection for multi-turn LLM-based scientific assistants, develop probing methods for internal representations, build evaluation pipelines on HPC/multi-GPU systems, run experiments across scientific domains, and produce research code, documentation, and publications.
