Supports cybersecurity research for 5G and emerging 6G networks by developing RIC rApps, xApps, dApps, NWDAF analytics, AI/ML models, and closed-loop automation. Builds cloud-native microservices with containers and Kubernetes, integrates O-RAN and 3GPP interfaces, analyzes streaming network data, and collaborates on software testing, validation, documentation, and technical research related to secure, resilient energy systems.

Install, configure, and support storage hardware, software, and services for high-performance computing and data-intensive research. Design secure, scalable, high-throughput storage infrastructure using object, block, distributed file, and cloud storage. Diagnose technical issues, develop hardware configurations, collaborate with researchers and cross-functional teams, and evaluate emerging storage technologies. The role also requires Linux systems engineering, NAS, backup software, scripting, and infrastructure automation expertise.

Integrates and supports the laboratory’s Work Planning and Control program across research and facilities teams. Provides process and software guidance, maintains project and workflow data, supports hazard assessments and scheduling, produces reports, coordinates space and facility planning, trains and mentors staff, resolves cross-functional issues, and drives continuous improvement while ensuring safety, training, and work authorization requirements are met.
