Postdoctoral researcher will develop statistical and machine learning methods (combining statistics and deep learning) and software to model, fuse, and analyze large scientific datasets, characterize disruptive events impacting infrastructure, quantify uncertainty, design algorithms, and publish and present results.

Design, develop, and test AI/ML and optimization software for energy research on HPC systems. Build and evaluate models (deep learning, probabilistic methods, large-scale inference), productionize solutions, collaborate with researchers, mentor juniors, author technical publications, and support multiple projects across the research-to-implementation stack.

Perform fabrication and testing of electrodes and electrochemical conversion devices (CO2 electrolyzers), design experiments, run in-situ electrochemical characterization (EIS, limiting current), interpret performance and durability, scale devices from 5–25 cm2 to 400 cm2, and support technoeconomic assessments to establish key metrics.
