Lead night-shift plastics recycling and manufacturing teams to meet productivity and quality KPIs. Enforce SHEQ, safety, housekeeping, and compliance. Drive equipment maintenance, investigate downtime, implement continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, RCA), manage performance, conduct toolbox talks, appraisals and 1:1s, and support cross-department collaboration.

Provide administrative and operational support at a recycling facility: manage office tasks, data entry, weighbridge documentation, reports, project tracking, meeting minutes, compliance records, and liaise with internal and external teams to ensure smooth site operations.

Lead and mentor the procurement/buying team to increase supply of recyclable plastics, paper, and metal. Manage existing suppliers, source new B2B suppliers, set targets, monitor performance, and implement a CRM to grow and track sales and supplier relationships. Represent the company to businesses and local authorities.

Manage and control group accounting and admin functions including weekly/monthly accounts, forecasts, budgets, cash flow, statutory reporting (VAT, PAYE), stock valuation, payroll, IT and software (SAP Business One, Sage 50) oversight, staff management, and liaison with auditors, banks and legal advisors to support director-level decision-making.

Manage multi-site plastics recycling operations to meet production, quality, environmental, health & safety, and cost targets. Lead staff recruitment, training and performance; oversee maintenance, plant efficiency, and compliance (EA, HSE, ISO). Produce daily and ad-hoc reports to Board/shareholders; drive projects to deliver on time and under budget.

Coordinate transport bookings with hauliers and freight forwarders, raise haulage/freight purchase orders in SAP, monitor deliveries, produce weight tickets and reports, perform weighbridge duties, support the export team, handle email/telephone correspondence, and maintain filing and spreadsheets.

Lead staff recruitment, training, maintenance, compliance (EA, Operators License), ISO audits, daily reporting, and delivery of projects on time and on budget while reporting to board stakeholders.

Manage site safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) compliance at a plastics recycling facility. Develop and implement SSOW, environmental management systems, ISO standards and audits; train and supervise staff; audit operations; drive efficiency and compliance; liaise with contractors, customers and colleagues.
