Owns monthly close, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, statutory accounts, audits, management reporting, regulatory submissions, and group consolidation for multiple entities. The role also drives financial control improvements, automation, process enhancements, and finance transformation initiatives while mentoring junior team members and managing stakeholder relationships.

Supports the Head of Wordings by drafting, reviewing, and managing insurance and reinsurance contracts, clauses, endorsements, policy documentation, and delegated authority agreements. Ensures documents are clear, commercially appropriate, legally enforceable, and compliant with regulatory requirements. Provides technical guidance on coverage issues, complaints, and disputes; liaises with underwriters, brokers, reinsurers, and MGAs; maintains wording repositories and guidance; and monitors Lloyd’s, legal, and regulatory developments.

Handle Marine and Energy Liability claims from notification through settlement, including reserving, cost control, subrogation, contribution, regulatory compliance, and delegated authority oversight. Provide specialist advice, analyze claims trends, support reserving and portfolio reporting, and collaborate with underwriters, brokers, clients, co-insurers, service providers, and experts. Deputize for claims leadership, contribute to service modernization projects, manage relationships, and represent the company in the London insurance market.
