Provides technical leadership and mentoring to technicians, co-ops, and junior engineers while ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO requirements.

Assists with federal, state, and local tax return preparation, tax calculations, fixed-asset depreciation maintenance, sales tax reporting, compliance, accounting projects, and tax-related projections. The role requires independent work, strong organization, multitasking, and advanced proficiency with tax software, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.

Prepares monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, audit reports, and financial analyses under GAAP and SOX controls. Manages intercompany accounting, supports external audits, assists with budgeting and FP&A, and helps test and troubleshoot accounting systems. Develops test fixtures and assemblies using 3D modeling and fabrication tools, establishes test environments, identifies risks, applies Six Sigma methods, improves verification plans, and mentors junior engineers and co-op teammates.

Leads controls engineering for new product development and sustaining projects, overseeing electrical and firmware capabilities, regulatory compliance, technical risk, testing, resources, budgets, and delivery. Manages and develops engineering staff, recruits talent, coordinates third-party engineering support, improves processes and standards, and contributes to product and technology roadmaps. The role supports regulated product development, including medical devices, from concept through launch.

Lead cross-functional efforts to ensure and improve quality of medical devices through design and manufacturing. Maintain QMS compliance with FDA/ISO/other standards, drive product quality improvements, act as technical SME, manage risk, champion Six Sigma projects, support audits, and mentor junior engineers.

Support project coordinators by creating and maintaining project documentation, managing departmental inboxes, obtaining freight quotes, entering small project orders, providing phone and administrative support, and coordinating deliveries while learning Midmark products and processes.

Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack and firmware software across UI, API, mobile, and cloud/edge platforms. Work in Agile teams, create automated tests and documentation, mentor developers, prototype solutions, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, containerized, cloud/hybrid software.

Support and improve medical device quality through QMS maintenance, regulatory compliance (FDA/ISO/etc.), design control, FMEA, testing/validation, process improvements, cross-functional problem-solving, and mentoring junior engineers.

Designs, modifies, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems and production test equipment for medical/dental/animal health products. Implements electromechanical designs, analyzes test results, creates schematics and documentation (V&V, CAPA), maintains product databases, and supports process improvements and automation on the factory floor.

Lead architecture design and implementation for Midmark's Digital Diagnostics platform, integrating medical devices, data platforms, AI, and clinical workflows. Collaborate with product and solution architects, mentor engineers, write code, define architecture artifacts, guide DevOps and testing practices, and ensure security, reliability, and operational excellence across cloud/edge/hybrid solutions.

Design, develop, test, and deploy software or firmware components within an Agile team. Create prototypes, automate deployment and tests, resolve production issues, maintain documentation, participate in code reviews, and follow security and modern delivery practices.

Provide in-house legal advice across the company: draft, review, and negotiate contracts; support digital transformation, data privacy, and cybersecurity compliance; assist with corporate governance, compliance (FCPA, export, healthcare laws), M&A due diligence and transactions; and support litigation and policy development under direction of General Counsel.
