This is a full-time, local summer internship based in Effingham, Illinois.

Supports the Commercial Credit Department through financial statement analysis, commercial borrower and credit request evaluation, loan structure exposure, credit risk assessment, and special projects. Collaborates with credit leadership, commercial lenders, and market presidents while developing foundational financial analysis skills. Maintains compliance with applicable banking regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Supports the Enterprise Risk Management Department with process mapping, risk and control documentation, operational risk assessments, KRI and risk-event analysis, enterprise risk reporting, governance documentation, and special projects involving third-party risk, business continuity, process improvement, and change management. The intern researches banking regulations, summarizes findings, assists with checklists and reference materials, and gains exposure to BSA, fraud, operational risk, audits, and regulatory examinations. This is a full-time, local summer internship requiring strong analytical, communication, research, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.

Supports the Marketing Department with brand marketing, event planning, public relations writing, corporate communications, asset governance, vendor coordination, and marketing request execution. The intern helps maintain brand consistency, manages deadlines, collaborates with internal and external partners, and gains experience working within a regulated banking environment.

Supports high-volume retail recruiting by reviewing applications, conducting phone screens, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates, maintaining applicant tracking data, and assisting with recruiting meetings, onboarding exposure, selection practices, and compliance.
