Develops photonic package concepts, packaging processes, and design rules for satellite optical communication systems. Seeking a Senior Digital Design Engineer with 7-10+ years in digital design for high-speed communications, responsible for full delivery of designs, verification, and mentoring.

Lead end-to-end digital design and verification for high-speed optical communications products. Define architectures, author specifications, implement RTL, develop high-level models, and verify using SystemVerilog/UVM. Prototype on FPGAs, validate in lab, mentor junior engineers, and improve design flow and methodologies.

Lead and deliver complex, cross-functional projects for optical satellite communications products. Develop plans, manage budgets, risks, change, stakeholder communications, and drive process improvements using PMO and Agile practices.

Design and execute manual and automated tests for embedded flight software. Create test plans, environments, and data; perform functional, integration, system, regression, performance, and fuzz testing; report and track defects; develop automation and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines; collaborate with R&D and stakeholders to support defect resolution and product qualification.

Design, implement, and optimize Linux kernel drivers and subsystems for embedded optical communication hardware. Architect and maintain BSPs (Yocto/Buildroot), lead hardware bring-up, improve real-time performance, extend CI/CD and HIL testing, mentor on kernel testing, and upstream/maintain low-level software.

Lead and scale systems engineering for space-grade Free Space Optics payloads: establish requirements, change control, verification/validation, interface and configuration management, support integration, testing and flight qualification, and build a high-performing systems team to transition prototypes into regulated, flight-ready products.
