Support searches, transmittals, audits, onboarding/offboarding, and integration of document management tools while ensuring compliance, data integrity, and collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

Lead day-to-day operations and commissioning of a sulfuric acid plant, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, production targets, troubleshooting, KPI reporting, schedule management, incident investigation, and coordination with maintenance and other departments.

Lead site quality programs and the QC laboratory at Thacker Pass, ensuring QMS compliance (e.g., ISO-9001), overseeing product disposition, analytics, metrics, RCA-driven corrective actions, supplier and customer quality engagement, and continuous improvement.

Provide technical process engineering support for design finalization, commissioning, start-up, optimization, and operation of a sulfuric acid plant. Monitor process performance, troubleshoot issues, develop operating procedures, support KPIs/OEE, participate in safety reviews (HAZOP, PHA, RCA), and drive continuous improvement with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams.

Support buildout, commissioning, and operation of sulfuric acid and lithium processing facilities. Serve as site mechanical SME, ensure MSHA/OSHA/ASME compliance, lead PHA/MOC/PSSR activities, troubleshoot equipment using CMMS and data historian, maintain drawings, specify and procure equipment, manage capital and sustaining projects, oversee contractors, develop maintenance KPIs, and drive continuous improvement and safety culture.

Serve as senior financial leader for Thacker Pass site: lead site FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, reporting, SOX internal controls, cost accounting, inventory and capital project support, audit coordination, KPI reporting, and finance team leadership to support operational decision-making.

Supervise site warehousing and logistics at Thacker Pass, ensuring safe receipt, storage, transfer, staging, and shipment of materials (including hazardous reagents and finished goods). Maintain inventory accuracy, manage carriers and export logistics, coordinate with third-party transload/terminal operators, enforce regulatory compliance and safety, lead and develop warehouse and logistics personnel, and optimize warehouse layout and processes to support construction, commissioning, and operations.

Support month-end close and accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, subsidiary month-end activities, treasury support, SOX compliance, audit assistance, and preparation of tax and non-financial working papers. Collaborate with internal/external auditors and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting under US GAAP.

Lead bench and pilot-scale experiments to develop and optimize clay extraction unit operations (leaching, neutralization, precipitation). Design experimental campaigns, analyze and report data, support process modeling, evaluate technologies, and collaborate across engineering, geology, contractors, and vendors to deliver safe, low-cost processing solutions.

Maintain, program, and troubleshoot Emerson DeltaV DCS and associated automation (PLC/HMI/networking) in a mining processing plant. Develop control logic and HMI graphics, tune loops, support commissioning, ensure SIS/MOC/compliance, analyze process data for improvements, perform backups and updates, and participate in on-call rotation to maximize uptime and safety.

Lead on-site safety operations at Thacker Pass, supervising Safety Specialists, managing permit systems, ensuring MSHA/OSHA and PSM compliance, conducting inspections, training, incident investigations, and driving continuous safety improvements across plant and contractor activities.

Provide IT/OT systems support for the Thacker Pass site: maintain DCS/SCADA, process historian, servers, networks, virtualization, backups, and endpoint devices; monitor and respond to incidents; implement OT cybersecurity practices; support integrations, commissioning, and documentation; collaborate with engineers, operations, vendors, and IT teams.

Manage Canadian and U.S. tax program and tax provision for consolidated financial statements. Support entity-level tax returns, liaise with external tax advisors, handle tax audits, and manage technical US GAAP accounting projects. Support SOX compliance, monthly/quarterly/year-end financial statement preparation, cross-train with accounting managers, and build relationships across teams.

Develops, implements, and maintains training programs and LMS records for employees, contractors, and vendors; facilitates classroom and hands-on training; supports Systematic Approach to Training (SAT), OJT, regulatory compliance (MSHA, OSHA), reporting, and training effectiveness; coordinates schedules and collaborates with stakeholders to address training gaps.

Provide process engineering support for commissioning, start-up, and operations of the sulfuric acid and lithium processing facilities. Troubleshoot process issues using DCS/historian data, manage capital and sustaining projects, oversee contractors, implement safety and environmental procedures, and drive continuous improvement to optimize plant performance.

Lead electrical and instrumentation maintenance for a processing facility, ensuring safety compliance, supervising E&I technicians, troubleshooting PLC/DCS/HMI/VFD systems, managing preventative maintenance, supporting capital projects, and overseeing electrical distribution, spare parts, and vendor relationships.
