Teams at Lithium Americas

Supports the Human Resources team with recruitment, candidate screening, interview coordination, onboarding, employee records, engagement initiatives, training materials, communications, HR projects, and administrative operations. The intern gains exposure to payroll, compensation, benefits, compliance, and other Total Rewards processes while collaborating with HR and cross-functional teams. This is a 40-hour-per-week summer internship based in Reno, Nevada, lasting approximately ten weeks, with occasional travel to offices, project sites, or vendors.

Supports process engineering through experimental design, pilot plant operation, troubleshooting, sampling, data recording, analysis, reporting, and process improvement for lithium extraction and processing. Assists with laboratory and piloting methods, equipment assembly and maintenance, and safe operations while collaborating across technical teams.

Supports mechanical engineering activities for plant equipment and systems, including inspections, troubleshooting, commissioning, startup, equipment data analysis, engineering calculations, drawings, documentation, reliability improvements, and vendor coordination. The role provides hands-on experience in an industrial lithium processing and construction environment while emphasizing safety, operational readiness, and collaboration with engineering, operations, maintenance, and construction teams.
