Design, prototype, and transition thermal imaging camera electronics from schematic capture and PCB layout to lab bring-up and production. Perform circuit design, PCB layout in Altium, BOM/ERP management, prototype soldering/rework, lab debug/characterization, vendor coordination, DFM/DFT reviews, and sustaining engineering.

Lead design and development of complex precision molds for glass lens manufacturing. Master and apply mold design methodology, enable larger-diameter lens molding, create detailed engineering drawings and specifications, analyze performance, troubleshoot molding issues, mentor engineers, and support new product introduction and production implementation.

Manage and grow strategic accounts for optical products by qualifying leads, developing opportunities, coordinating cross-functional teams, driving quotes/orders in Salesforce, resolving quality issues, and meeting quarterly and annual revenue targets. Serve as primary customer contact and maintain forecasting, reporting, and CRM data.

Fabricate, modify, and repair precision quartz glass components for optical and infrared applications. Interpret technical drawings, operate specialized glassblowing equipment, perform quality inspections, collaborate with engineering/R&D on prototypes and production, troubleshoot complex assemblies, document production, and follow safety protocols for high-temperature and gas-handling environments.

Lead multi-site supply chain activities including supplier selection, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, risk management, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to align sourcing with business objectives and improve efficiency for a precision manufacturing environment.

Program, set up, operate, and maintain manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision components per engineering drawings. Interpret blueprints, select tooling, perform dimensional inspections, troubleshoot machining issues, support production and prototypes, uphold quality, safety, 5S, and lean initiatives, and participate in inventory and continuous improvement.

Lead development, validation, and scaling of manufacturing processes for optical and photonic products. Manage a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, drive DFM/DFX, ensure quality and regulatory compliance (MIL, ITAR, ISO/AS9100), implement continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma), support NPI and technology transfers, and manage budgets, capital equipment, and cross-functional collaboration to achieve yield, cost, and production goals.

Lead and execute integrated B2B marketing across digital channels, advertising, website and SEO, content and brand development, tradeshows/events, and analytics to drive brand awareness, qualified leads, and revenue in coordination with Sales and BD.

Serve as primary technical owner and business steward for the PLM system: configure and deploy PLM data models, workflows, permissions, and integrations (CAD, ERP, manufacturing, quality), migrate legacy data, maintain governance aligned to AS9100/CMMC/ITAR, create reports/dashboards, train users, and drive process improvements for MBOMs and NPI.

Oversee 2nd shift production activities and hourly staff, ensure quality and safety standards, enforce company procedures (including 5S), perform production and metrology duties as needed, coach employees, and support operations to meet production expectations.

Lead a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and deploy custom fabrication and optical metrology systems for IR lens production. Own system lifecycle, opto-mechanical design, calibration, automation, and validation. Collaborate across Manufacturing, Quality, Optical Design, and R&D to support NPI, yield improvement, and compliance with AS9100/ISO17025. Manage projects, budgets, and program risks while mentoring staff.

Lead system-level development and commercialization of LWIR zoom lens assemblies, integrating optics, mechanics, actuators, electronics, firmware, and coatings. Define performance budgets, manufacturability, verification/validation, actuation and embedded control, and lead cross-functional teams to resolve system-level issues through production release.

Lead daily operations across thin film, camera and optics production, supply chain, warehousing, facilities and quality. Develop capacity expansion and NPI plans, drive Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement, ensure ITAR/EAR and ISO/MIL compliance, manage budgets, KPIs, and build high-performing cross-functional teams to meet SQDC and delivery goals.
