Teams at Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe

Coordinates child welfare program development, staff training, compliance monitoring, case and file integrity inspections, grant deliverables, and operational systems management. Develops training plans and curriculum, organizes training events, supports staff orientation and career development, administers SSIS access and data quality, troubleshoots technology issues, maintains equipment, and prepares program and compliance reports. Builds community agency relationships and supports culturally responsive service delivery for Native American children and families.

Supports tribal economic and community development through research, comprehensive planning, project development, grant writing and management, and program administration. Coordinates short- and long-term plans involving housing, transportation, infrastructure, and community resources. Provides technical assistance and training, assists with grant applications and reporting, builds relationships with granting agencies and external organizations, and advocates for tribal interests. Requires communication, analytical, organizational, public relations, and planning skills, plus regular travel.

Administer employee benefit programs including medical, dental, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and retirement plans. Support orientations, open enrollment, employee education, inquiries, applications, changes, terminations, audits, payroll deductions, carrier coordination, and eligibility issues. Manage the shared benefits inbox, maintain confidential records, prepare standardized communications, and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations. The role also supports special projects, meetings, and occasional out-of-state travel.
