Teams at Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe

Supports tribal economic and community development through research, comprehensive planning, project development, grant writing and management, and program administration. Coordinates short- and long-term plans involving housing, transportation, infrastructure, and community resources. Provides technical assistance and training, assists with grant applications and reporting, builds relationships with granting agencies and external organizations, and advocates for tribal interests. Requires communication, analytical, organizational, public relations, and planning skills, plus regular travel.

Implements and develops a truancy program for Leech Lake children and youth. Conducts home visits, develops case plans, advocates for families, coordinates services, maintains client records, prepares court and program reports, attends hearings, collaborates with schools and agencies, and supports students and families while respecting Native American culture and confidentiality requirements.
