The Jackson Laboratory seeks Assistant and Associate Professors to lead multidisciplinary research in aging, age-related diseases, systems immunology, or computational biology. Faculty will conduct basic and translational research using genetic and genomic approaches in mouse and human models, supported by shared scientific services and data science initiatives. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D., complete two to five years of postdoctoral training, demonstrate significant research accomplishments, and present goals for establishing or maintaining a successful research program.

Supports research operations by optimizing workflows, coordinating projects, managing inventory and procurement, maintaining laboratory equipment and repositories, coordinating vendor repairs, supporting EH&S initiatives, responding to critical equipment alarms, troubleshooting system issues, and protecting research continuity through proactive maintenance and rapid operational response.

Performs warehouse and animal-facility operations, including operating washing and decapping equipment, sanitizing supplies, organizing soiled materials, maintaining pallets, following safety procedures, and quality-checking equipment. The role requires physical lifting and ladder use, accurate recordkeeping, document comprehension, and learning sanitation methods that protect mouse health. Training is provided, and candidates must pass a pre-employment physical and background check.

Assists scientists with proteomic and metabolite sample preparation and analysis, protein extraction, quantification, and biological sample processing. Maintains laboratory instruments, workstations, inventory, and sanitation standards; uses LIMS; follows SOPs; records and reports experimental results; and collaborates with the Protein Sciences team. Requires flexibility for occasional evening or weekend shifts and the ability to manage multiple experiments in a dynamic laboratory environment.

Leads enterprise-wide public relations, media relations, thought leadership, and research communications for a biomedical research institution. Advises executives, develops messaging and media campaigns, prepares leaders for public engagements, translates scientific discoveries for broad audiences, manages a communications team and external agencies, measures performance through analytics and KPIs, and oversees crisis communications.

The Director leads JAX's research data strategy, ensuring data governance and management while promoting data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities include developing frameworks, policies, and analytics capabilities, along with fostering collaboration among stakeholders.

Lead harmonization of global quality practices, implement continuous quality improvements, oversee audits, CAPA, deviations, document control, change management, coach quality teams, and drive cultural change across multi‑site pharmaceutical/biotech operations.

Work in an ABSL-2 facility to humanize mice and perform animal husbandry, injections, blood collection, shipping, documentation, autoclave operation, welfare checks, and data entry following SOPs and safety protocols. May include weekends, holidays, and overtime.
