The role is fully onsite in Carlsbad five days per week and requires customer service experience, Microsoft Office proficiency, and the ability to learn claims software.

Leads sales strategy and business development across the New York City territory by recruiting and training independent insurance agents, expanding agency relationships, driving new and renewal production, and collaborating with underwriting, claims, marketing, and product teams. Maintains Salesforce data, conducts webinars and product demonstrations, supports program rollouts, participates in trade shows, and travels up to 60% with some overnight stays.

Lead corporate accounting functions including monthly and annual close, journal entry and reconciliation review, financial reporting, GAAP compliance, lender reporting, audit support, acquisition accounting, and supervise and develop staff while driving process improvements.

Provide accounting and clerical support including posting and paying broker payables, mailing ITCs, reviewing aged balances, handling accounting inboxes, customer service via phone/email, and month-end tasks like bank reconciliations and audit AJEs.

Support senior underwriters by performing administrative and preliminary underwriting tasks: assess loss history and finances, review submissions for errors, gather and verify data, manage inbound calls, assist with pricing and policy issuance, and collaborate with underwriting team to process accounts from quote to policy.

Manage day-to-day accounting for a high-volume workers' compensation MGA: transactional accounting (AP/AR), reconciliations, month-end close, journal entries, issue resolution, and process improvements while partnering with operations and cross-functional teams.
