Develops and manages lighthouse channel, reseller, systems integrator, distributor, and telecommunications partnerships across EMEA. The role originates and co-sells quantum technology opportunities, builds partner capabilities, manages regional pipeline and forecasting, coordinates global and regional teams, and converts early customer engagements into repeatable sales motions, reference wins, and sustained revenue growth.

Leads global manufacturing programs and customer-site deployments for quantum computing systems. Coordinates engineering, research, supply chain, logistics, facilities, security, vendors, and customers to manage production, site readiness, installation, commissioning, risks, and handover across international programs.

Support code development and automated hardware testing for quantum instruments. Build CI/CD pipelines, configure test server racks, and write Python automation scripts to interface with devices-under-test and test equipment. Create Docker images for development, testing, and deployment, collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers, assist with board testing and hardware bring-up, and improve development processes.

Own end-to-end on-premises quantum system deployments and build a scalable Deployment Excellence function. Lead cross-functional execution across engineering, facilities, manufacturing, installation, and operations; create standardized deployment processes, runbooks, governance, escalation paths, and dashboards; manage initial customer deliveries; and translate field lessons into product improvements. Ensure predictable go-live outcomes, customer satisfaction, and successful handoff to field teams.

Design, develop, and support web-based scientific software and hardware-control interfaces for quantum research teams. Build data-intensive dashboards, telemetry, calibration tools, and complex state-management experiences. Collaborate with cross-functional users and backend engineers to translate workflows into accessible graphical tools. Apply rigorous testing practices, optimize rendering performance, and establish software development best practices across the quantum tools team.

Own full-reticle mask tapeouts for trapped-ion quantum computers, develop PDKs and automated PCell layout libraries, and implement DRC/LVS verification. Collaborate with photonic, electronic, packaging, testing, and foundry teams to define layout rules and improve workflows. Document tapeouts, lead layout reviews, and create Python-based automation for complex semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Leads the architecture, design, modeling, fabrication, characterization, optimization, and production qualification of semiconductor lasers and active photonic devices. Defines device specifications, epitaxial structures, optical designs, mask layouts, verification methods, and technology roadmaps. Partners with engineers, suppliers, foundries, packaging teams, and product groups while directing technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and supporting technology transfer and production ramp.

Leads global commercial alliances with major hyperscalers, including AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud, and Oracle. Owns joint business plans, co-sell motions, customer qualification, quantum capacity resale, marketplace routes, pricing, negotiations, pipeline, and revenue growth. Builds lighthouse partnerships, customer references, repeatable sales playbooks, and regional execution models for IonQ’s quantum computing and related technologies. Requires extensive hyperscaler alliance experience, emerging-technology commercialization expertise, executive communication, cross-functional leadership, and global travel.

Lead federal go-to-market and sales growth for IonQ’s quantum sensing products. Develop sales strategy, identify and manage large PNT/RF opportunities, oversee deals from customer engagement through contract delivery, monitor sales KPIs, and build executive relationships across the sensing industry. Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, finance, legal, program management, and customer success teams to shape offerings, contracts, messaging, and customer outcomes.

Lead design and customer engagements to make networks quantum-safe: inventory cryptography, design migration paths to PQC and hybrid key exchange, run proofs-of-concept (including QKD where relevant), produce reference architectures and playbooks, influence standards, and provide technical authority across sales, product, and engineering.

Develop post-quantum cryptography software for HSM and network-appliance products. Implement reference, optimized, constant-time, and bit-accurate models of ML-KEM, ML-DSA, SLH-DSA, and LMS in C, C++, Rust, and Python. Build NIST ACVP test-vector tooling, support hardware and firmware teams, contribute to hardware-friendly algorithm decomposition, debug cryptographic implementations, and assist with third-party library evaluation and certification-oriented development.

Develop and scale selected reseller, distributor, systems integrator, telecommunications, hyperscaler, and consulting partnerships across the Americas. Lead partner strategy, co-selling, customer qualification, solution development, negotiations, pipeline forecasting, and commercialization of IonQ’s quantum portfolio. Build lighthouse engagements into referenceable wins, repeatable sales motions, and scalable channels while coordinating regional sales, global alliance, engineering, marketing, and program teams.

Owns IonQ’s sales strategy and account relationships across state, local, and academic institutions in the Northwest. Responsibilities include developing executive relationships, identifying opportunities, building quantum technology sales pipelines, qualifying deals, creating proposals, negotiating agreements, closing business, and supporting customer satisfaction. The role requires extensive quota-carrying technology sales experience in the SLED market and familiarity with emerging technologies such as quantum computing and AI/ML.

Own global alliances with selected advisory and consulting partners, including joint business plans, executive relationships, co-selling, pipeline, forecasting, and commercial outcomes. Lead customer discovery and solution development across quantum computing, networking, security, sensing, and space. Coordinate global and regional teams, build partner capabilities, secure referenceable wins, and convert early engagements into repeatable sales motions, playbooks, and scalable revenue channels.

Leads IonQ’s transactions function, drafting and negotiating complex commercial, technology, IP, regulatory, supply chain, partnership, and government agreements. Develops contract templates, playbooks, processes, and risk frameworks; partners with business and legal teams; manages high-volume transactional work; oversees attorney workloads and training; and serves as senior escalation counsel for complex matters. The role requires strong business judgment, negotiation, stakeholder management, legal-function improvement, and autonomy in a fast-paced environment.

Leads cross-functional technical programs across IonQ’s application platform, developer tools, and compiler roadmap. Translates technical vision into milestones, manages dependencies and risks, maintains planning and tracking systems, exposes technical debt and operational work, and reports data-driven status to senior leadership. The role supports approximately 40 engineers across four teams and requires navigating ambiguity, technical tradeoffs, staffing, customer-facing work, and AI-driven program-management workflows.

Design and integrate complex quantum processing unit chips from requirements through layout and tape-out. Responsibilities include multilayer chip layout, metal-track routing, photonics and CMOS interfaces, specification development with scientists, cross-team feasibility coordination, and independent project ownership. The role requires hands-on IC layout expertise and experience guiding designs into production, with preferred experience in scripted GDSFactory/Python layout generation, Cadence, ion-trap design, photonics, or IC packaging.

Conduct experimental research to advance trapped-ion quantum computing. Responsibilities include developing coherent control and cooling schemes, calibrating and benchmarking quantum systems, validating integrated trap technologies, analyzing experimental data, debugging hardware-software interactions, and documenting findings. The role requires a physics PhD or related degree, expertise in experimental AMO physics or quantum computing, quantum control, programming, and data analysis. Trapped-ion experience, publications, and postdoctoral or industry experience are advantageous.

Lead the architecture and roadmap for IonQ’s secure software factory. Build and operate production-scale CI/CD platforms, infrastructure-as-code modules, release pipelines, security scanning, dependency management, SBOM and provenance systems, and internal developer platforms. Drive vulnerability remediation, compliance evidence, hybrid infrastructure operations, and agentic automation with appropriate guardrails. Mentor engineers, establish standards, and align Architecture, SRE, Cloud Operations, and Product Development around secure, self-service delivery.
