Leads the Arc vehicle mechanical engineering team and owns delivery of primary structures, mechanisms, and thermal protection systems. Responsibilities include technical direction, people management, mechanical design and analysis, manufacturing and integration support, qualification and vehicle testing, configuration control, root-cause investigations, and cross-functional coordination with production and engineering teams. The role also supports vehicle builds, environmental testing, launch preparation, recovery operations, and post-flight hardware assessment.

Develop, integrate, test, and verify flight and ground RF/telemetry systems for reentry vehicles. Responsibilities include link-budget analysis, antenna modeling, RF component selection, laboratory and vehicle testing, ground-station network establishment, regulatory licensing support, and environmental qualification. The role collaborates with multidisciplinary engineering teams and owns RF test systems and mission-readiness validation.

Build the People function from scratch: run onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, employee relations and investigations, California and federal contractor compliance, performance management, engagement programs, HRIS (Gusto) administration, headcount reporting, and partner with leadership. Start as an individual contributor and grow into a manager within 12–24 months.

Own Inversion’s visual storytelling and content production from concept through final delivery. Capture photography and video across engineering, manufacturing, testing, launches, and company milestones; direct shoots; edit footage; produce technical explainers, employee stories, documentaries, and social content; and publish across web, recruiting, sales, press, and events. Maintain production equipment and a structured visual archive while helping define the company’s creative style. Travel to test sites and work independently in fast-moving technical environments.

The Mechanical Engineer II will design reentry vehicles, manage mechanical design processes, collaborate with teams, and ensure component performance through testing.

Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes, interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, select and maintain tooling, perform in-process inspections with precision instruments, monitor and adjust machining runs, troubleshoot programming and process issues, collaborate with programmers, and maintain a safe, organized shop.

Manage mission-critical cloud and on-premises infrastructure in a defense environment. Provision and monitor cloud services, administer Windows and Linux systems, maintain Docker and Kubernetes environments, secure networks, perform patching and hardening, implement compliance controls, support identity management, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies. The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will design mechanical systems for spacecraft, manage CAD models, support prototype builds, and collaborate with teams to solve design challenges.

Lead and scale aerospace manufacturing across precision machining, harnessing, mechanical assembly, and parachute systems. Own production readiness, make vs. buy strategy, capacity planning, lean process implementation, KPI-driven quality and safety, tooling and CNC operations, MRP/ERP deployment, facility and capital planning, and build a high-performing manufacturing organization that supports flight hardware at increasing production rates.

As a Senior TPS Design Engineer, you will design thermal protection systems for hypersonic vehicles, develop testing methods, and work with materials to enhance performance and integration.

As a Staff Optical Engineer, you will lead the design, analysis, and testing of optical systems for reentry vehicles, including sensor windows and spectral camera systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate optical hardware into flight systems and conduct optical quality measurement tests.

As a Propulsion and Energetics Test Engineer II, you will lead and support test campaigns, focusing on propulsion testing and data processing for reentry systems.

Own new product introduction, manufacturing, and integration engineering across aerospace vehicle programs. Develop assembly processes, work instructions, tooling, fixtures, and integration checklists for structures, mechanisms, TPS, and mechanical interfaces. Lead non-conformance disposition, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and floor execution. Coordinate production activities, establish precision assembly standards, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring safe, repeatable, on-schedule vehicle builds.

The Director of Business Development will identify and capture hypersonic flight tests, engaging stakeholders and managing technical sales for government and commercial clients.

Design, provision, and maintain infrastructure for simulation and test workflows (HPC, SIL, HIL). Build infrastructure-agnostic platforms, IaC, CI/CD pipelines, containerized orchestration, cloud/IaaS resource management, network configuration, and automation to enable rapid, repeatable integration and testing of flight systems.

Design, build, and maintain automated software and hardware test systems for flight systems. Develop automated test scripts, device API wrappers, hardware emulators, and provisioning/deployment automation to enable SIL/HIL testing and continuous integration of flight software and hardware.

Own and develop GNC algorithms for hypersonic/supersonic reentry phases, including guidance and control laws, state estimation and sensor fusion, 6DOF simulation, Monte Carlo dispersion analysis, actuator/control-structure analysis, and deployment/testing of GNC software in SIL/HIL. Collaborate with aerothermal, structures, and flight software teams to optimize vehicle design and trajectory performance.

Designs, builds, and tests liquid and gas propulsion systems for hypersonic reentry vehicles, focusing on ACS thrusters, fluid feed systems, and propulsion components. Owns fluid-network mechanical design and analysis, hardware fabrication, test planning, and hot-fire campaigns. Integrates propulsion hardware with vehicle teams and verifies performance against mission requirements. The role requires hands-on high-pressure propulsion experience, CAD expertise, engineering fundamentals, detailed technical documentation, and eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.

Manage customer engagement from capability studies to launch and recovery, support program proposals, ensure contract requirements are met, and interface across teams.
