The Senior Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical systems for accurate landing of spacecraft, leading projects from concept to integration while collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring manufacturability.

Lead CFD and thermal analysis for rocket propulsion hardware, modeling liquid-gas interactions, multi-phase flow, and conjugate heat transfer. Build and automate simulation toolboxes, validate models with test plans, size flow components, and mentor peers to mature designs from concept to test-ready.

The Senior Software Engineer will develop ground software systems for space vehicles, manage command and control operations, and mentor team members.

Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering Arc reentry vehicle structure, aerothermal characterization, TPS integration, high-temperature actuation, and hypersonic GNC through design, testing, production, and flight operations. Manage roadmaps, budgets, hiring, trade studies, and cross-functional coordination with production and analysis groups.

Design, integrate, and verify flight and ground RF/telemetry systems for reentry vehicles. Perform link budgets, antenna radiation modeling, component selection, lab and vehicle-level RF testing, ground station setup, regulatory support, and environmental qualification across reentry conditions.

Own and optimize end-to-end assembly, integration, and build plans for the Arc hypersonic vehicle. Author work instructions, design and qualify tooling/GSE, lead MRB and root-cause analysis, coordinate shop deliveries, establish precision joint and fastening practices, and mentor junior engineers to ensure safe, repeatable vehicle builds on schedule.

Lead end-to-end vehicle-level environmental qualification and acceptance test campaigns (vibration, shock, acoustic, thermal, TVAC) for the Arc hypersonic vehicle. Design test fixtures and DAQ setups, execute and analyze tests, troubleshoot anomalies, author test plans and reports, mentor junior engineers, and coordinate with external facilities and vendors.

Lead system-level design and integration for a hypersonic reentry vehicle. Drive cross-subsystem trade studies, manage interface control documents, own requirements flow-down and verification, maintain mass/volume budgets, and lead root-cause investigations during integration and testing.

Manage and lead the Arc Vehicle Software team to deliver flight and ground control software. Own software release cycles, integrate GNC/autonomy into flight software, design vehicle state machines, fault protection, and telemetry. Oversee SIL/HIL testing, test automation, real-time debugging, and rapid issue resolution during assembly, environmental test, and flight operations.

Lead architecture and development of high-reliability embedded flight software for a hypersonic reentry vehicle. Integrate multi-rate GNC algorithms, define hardware-software boundaries, drive board bring-up and low-level debugging, build SIL/HIL test suites, establish embedded C++ standards, and mentor senior engineers while collaborating on telemetry and hardware interfaces.

Develop and maintain ground control software, telemetry parsers, real-time operator displays, and backend systems for vehicle testing and missions. Build telemetry pipelines, serialization/protocol definitions, time-series storage, HIL/SIL automation, and ground station interfaces. Provide real-time software support during integrated vehicle tests.

Design, implement, and verify safety-critical real-time flight software for a hypersonic reentry vehicle. Own state machines, autonomy, and FDIR logic; integrate GNC modules; perform low-level driver and board bring-up; develop SIL/HIL test suites; participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers; collaborate with systems and avionics on ICDs, telemetry, and communications.

Lead preparation, execution, and analysis of vehicle-level environmental qualification and acceptance tests (vibration, shock, acoustic, thermal, TVAC). Design test fixtures and GSE in CAD, configure and operate DAQ and sensor suites, troubleshoot anomalies, author test plans/reports, and coordinate with vendors and test facilities while mentoring junior engineers.

Develop, test, and verify vehicle-level autonomy, flight sequencing, and fault-management logic. Implement state machines and mission routines, run SIL/HIL simulations, write unit/integration tests, analyze telemetry, and document autonomy logic while collaborating with systems, GNC, and avionics teams.

Develop and own end-to-end assembly sequences, integration plans, and work instructions for the Arc hypersonic vehicle. Design and build fixtures/GSE in CAD, execute structural bonding and composite assembly, perform mass properties and alignment checks, lead MRB and root-cause analysis, and coordinate shop deliveries to ensure flight hardware meets quality and schedule milestones.

Set up and operate multi-axis CNC mills and lathes, interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, select and maintain tooling, perform in-process inspections with precision instruments, monitor and adjust machining runs, troubleshoot programming and process issues, collaborate with programmers, and maintain a safe, organized shop.

Develop, optimize, and support CNC programs for composite parts, molds, and fixtures using 3- to 5-axis machining and Mastercam. Select tooling, feeds, and speeds to prevent delamination and fiber pull-out. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production; support operators with setup and troubleshooting. Review drawings/CAD/GD&T, conduct first-article inspections, and maintain process/program documentation for continuous improvement.

The Mechanical Engineer II will design reentry vehicles, manage mechanical design processes, collaborate with teams, and ensure component performance through testing.

As Director of Regulatory Affairs, you'll lead licensing, compliance, and government engagement for reentry vehicles, working with engineering and legal teams to ensure regulatory success.
