Provides PRN switchboard coverage at a VA medical center by answering and routing calls, assisting callers, operating multi-line telephone and overhead paging systems, and supporting hospital communications. Requires morning and evening availability, rotating weekends and holidays, and fill-in coverage as needed. The operator must remain professional and effective during emergencies and high-volume periods while serving staff, patients, visitors, and emergency personnel.

Provides front-desk reception, telephone and visitor assistance, client scheduling, program and workshop information, accurate data entry into AFFIRST and Department of Defense systems, reminder communications, sign-in support, reporting, records protection, and general administrative and front-office upkeep for a Military & Family Readiness Center.

The ROI Representative processes medico/legal ROI requests, retrieves documents, coordinates information requests, and provides customer service to Veterans.

Supervise daily hospital switchboard operations, oversee telephone operators, create and maintain staffing schedules across shifts, train and support communications personnel, monitor call handling and customer service standards, assist with complex or emergency calls, maintain operational logs, and coordinate with facility management on staffing and performance.

The job involves providing technical support, managing trouble tickets, and administering LAN and VOIP systems, emphasizing strong troubleshooting skills and customer support.

Provide individualized academic advising and degree planning for Airmen pursuing CCAF degrees. Interpret degree audits, assist with admissions/registration/graduation, support Air Force education systems, maintain records, support ceremonies and testing, and deliver customer service at Nellis AFB.
