Leads Inkomoko’s regional Local Social Sector strategy, operating model, partnerships, portfolio, and organizational development approach. Builds pathways for local and refugee-led organizations to strengthen capabilities and assume greater ownership. The role establishes systems, manages resources and risk, develops multi-country teams, stewards ecosystem partnerships, integrates local institutions into enterprise and impact programs, and uses evidence to guide investment, transition, or exit decisions.

Leads a 12-month circular economy pilot for 15 refugee-led organizations in Kenya and Ethiopia, supporting climate-smart interventions in food security, renewable energy, and waste management. Builds internal climate and ESG capabilities through tools, training, workflows, partnerships, monitoring, and institutional roadmaps. The consultant will coordinate cross-functional teams, facilitate financing and implementation, develop evidence and learning, and create scalable climate resilience and circular economy systems for enterprise development.

Conduct a mixed-methods study in Juba and a refugee-hosting location to quantify formal and informal business costs, assess barriers to identification and formalization, and test whether formalization benefits refugee and host-community entrepreneurs. The consultant will design ethical research tools, conduct surveys and interviews, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, map political and stakeholder dynamics, and deliver reports, an advocacy brief, presentation, anonymized datasets, codebooks, and analysis files within 30 working days.
