Serves as a Hamilton County court magistrate, conducting criminal and civil hearings, evidentiary proceedings, trials, sentencing, and jury verdicts. Issues warrants, subpoenas, bail orders, and final orders; administers oaths; enforces court rules; and reports findings. Reviews case files, collaborates with judges and justice-system professionals, supervises assigned court staff, and serves rotating night-court and 24-hour emergency on-call duties.

Manages Hamilton County Highway Department asset inventories, GIS databases, roadway and bridge records, project costs, and infrastructure condition data. Prepares GASB 34 capital asset policies, financial reporting, and management discussion materials. Maintains transportation project databases and website content, produces thematic maps, supports GIS users, reviews property descriptions, analyzes bid prices, and coordinates asset information with government agencies, utilities, and other stakeholders.

Administers county election activities, including candidate filings, campaign finance reports, ballot preparation, absentee voting, poll worker scheduling and training, polling location contracts, election supplies, vote tallying, certifications, and precinct updates. Supervises department personnel, prepares budgets and reports, maintains election records and equipment, interprets election laws, communicates with candidates and the public, and coordinates with county, state, and federal agencies. Extended, weekend, and evening work is required during election periods.

Maintains security and order in a juvenile detention facility. Duties include monitoring cameras and access controls, booking and searching juveniles, accounting for property, escorting and transporting detainees, monitoring medications, conducting cell shakedowns, responding to misconduct and emergencies, preparing reports, restraining violent individuals, and communicating with agencies, families, service providers, and the public.

Volunteer sworn reserve deputies perform patrol duties with full law enforcement authority, provide court security and special event coverage, complete a 600-hour Reserve Academy and FTO program, work a minimum of 24 hours/month, and attend monthly meetings.

Maintain security and order in county jail, courthouse, and during transport. Perform booking, searches, surveillance monitoring, inmate escorts, medical/medication monitoring, reporting, evidence handling, and emergency response. Operate security equipment and vehicles, enforce facility rules, and complete required training and certifications.
