The AI Intern supports Hoosier Energy in leveraging artificial intelligence for efficiency by developing AI models, preparing datasets, and ensuring compliance with data governance.

Entry-level hybrid role supporting accounting and finance functions: general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, month/year-end close, financial reporting and analysis, cash management, compliance filings, tariff/billing analysis, and records management. Training and mentorship provided.

Monitor and direct real-time operation of transmission and generation systems using EMS/SCADA. Coordinate with member systems, ISOs, and reliability coordinators; develop switching instructions; issue clearances; perform energy and demand validation; maintain logs and compliance with NERC/RRO standards; work rotating 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 control center.

The role involves developing BI solutions, managing data processing pipelines, providing application support, and ensuring data governance and compliance.

Lead Operations Division projects ensuring completion within schedule and budget, managing resources, and coordinating with stakeholders across various departments.

Lead financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting for the capital investment program. Develop and maintain tools and dashboards, ensure GAAP and RUS compliance, reconcile inventory, support audits, and provide decision-support reporting to management, project teams, auditors, lenders, and the Board.
