Load, shaft, and place rolls of paper or poly onto roll stands; monitor raw materials and prepare for quick, careful roll changes to minimize machine downtime; verify correct materials for each job; and fill in as Tubing Operator when needed to maintain production.

Support paper/polywoven packaging plant operations by driving process improvements, cost reduction, safety and quality compliance (HACCP, GMP, SQF). Troubleshoot production issues, lead validations, develop procedures and training, manage process projects, coordinate with maintenance, supervisors and engineering, and prepare capital justifications.

Lead HR and safety for the Summerville facility as a strategic partner to leadership. Oversee employee relations, wage/hour administration, benefits, EEO, policy, compliance with employment laws, and site safety programs aligned with HACCP, GMPs, Work Instructions, and SQF requirements.

Lead facility quality and continuous improvement efforts using LEAN tools. Oversee shop-floor quality data, reduce waste, rework and downtime, ensure HACCP/GMP/SQF/ISO compliance, document SOPs, and coordinate with maintenance, production, vendors, and customers to implement process improvements.

Develops and documents manufacturing work methods and processes to improve quality, productivity and reduce waste. Designs and runs experiments, analyzes trials, prepares equipment specs and SOPs, assists with equipment start-up and troubleshooting, manages complaints and corrective actions, and modifies products for cost or performance while following food safety and quality procedures.

Sell Hood Packaging products across assigned Wisconsin and Michigan territories to maximize sales profitability and growth. Work from the corporate office and manage territory accounts to meet revenue targets.

Drive sales growth and profitability in the assigned Toronto territory by developing and executing territory business plans and account strategies. Conduct strategic account reviews, monitor competition, use Hood's CRM daily to track leads/opportunities, and submit weekly and monthly activity and expense reports. Travel within the territory as required.

Support and optimize corporate business systems (e.g., QAD ERP) across all locations; enable continuous improvement of business processes and systems; ensure systems meet functional requirements; build strong relationships with users to identify technology-driven improvements.

Manage and administer HR programs including health & safety, employee relations, recruitment, training and development, and compensation and benefits. Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws and support workforce development at the Hamlet facility.

Prepare and track operating costs (labor, materials, overhead, inventory), analyze cost impacts of product and process changes, produce variance reports and ad-hoc summaries, and implement cost accounting policies, systems, and procedures.
